My nano is skipping over one song that I bought off of itunes. It will play in itunes and if I have my ipod hooked up to another computer it will play off the list of songs on my ipod. I have restored my ipod, deleted the song and bought it again, reinstalled itunes and it still skips the song. I called apple support and they said that I was out of luck, so hopefully someone else may know what's wrong.

My nano skips to the next song before it finishes the last. I tried to roll back to previous updates to no avail. I think it is an engineering problem and not repairable. My nano skips to the next song before it finishes the last. I tried to roll back to previous updates to no avail. I found a solution.... slide the hold button back and forth 3 times and then hold the Menu and Select buttons for about 10 sec. I had to do it twice but it worked!!!!

I have the same problem with my 2GB iPod nano. It has suddenly started skipping ALL of the songs I purchased from iTunes. Rebooting hasn't helped. I have the same problem with my 2GB iPod nano. It has suddenly started skipping ALL of the songs I purchased from iTunes. Rebooting hasn't helped.
I have an apple ipod model A1136. It skips songs that i try to play, but plays fine through my computer when connected to it. Weather its on shuffel or i go to select it directly to play it. All I see when this happens is the Song information on the screen and the moment the album art is displayed it just goes to the next song. So far no tricks fix it, even the hold menu and center button for 15 sec. one.I have an apple ipod model A1136. Hello there!
Wow... sounds like you've really been through the proverbial wringer with this issue already! You have indeed tried almost every step I would have suggested already, but here's another thing or two to try:
1) Burn an audio CD of this song. It's a true waste of a CD, but fortunately CDs are quite inexpensive!
2) Eject the CD.
3) In iTunes, find the problem song and add something to the title to make it differentiate it... for instance, if the song was, "Freebird", I would rename it, "Freebird CORRUPT".
4) Re-insert the CD, and now rip this new version of the song into iTunes.
5) Sync up your iPod and see if the issue is resolved.
Hope this helps you out! =)

Test the songs that are not playing on the iPod in iTunes and see if the original file is still playable on iTunes if the song still plays re-sync your iPod could be when iTunes copied the song it must have failed or timed out, if that fails re-syncing try restoring you iPod Nano i have had this problem before and I just re-synced and it worked fine!
iPod does not need any drivers only thing you need is iTunes if you dont have iTunes download iTUnes from here and when you connect iPod iTunes will detect it and there you can copy songs and syc play list and songs.
turn every program but itunes off. your firewall is interrupting your sync. close all programs or turn off your anti-virus and firewall so nothing can interrupt. keep me posted with results.
