The screen seems to want to play and displays the numbers for playing and ejecting but nothing plays or comes out. i could here the noise as if want to eject but no good what do i do.
Alien is right, pull the Radio Fuse, then put it back in and eject the CD/DVD. Happens to me sometimes with burned DVDs, seems like the player is picky on the CD/DVD media. Rebooting the device (by pulling the fuse) is the only way to eject it.

remove the cover and see if the dvd run, if not you got a motor problem or a motor drive one,if yes then try cleaning the reading eyes(pickup)by blowing dry air (get a can at radio shack)check for goods, if dosent work, take it to a shop for a repair thats all you can do, is a job for a tech....good luck

Place a disc in the tray with the label facing up. Let it try to read. If the disc is still oriented the same way after it fails, odds are 99 out of 100 the motor has failed....sorry, buy a new one if warrantee has run out.

Do u see a small hole in the front plate of the dvd player?
if you do ur in luck, unravel a large paper clip to make it straight, then very slowly push it straight into the hole until you see the dvd open.
If no hole then u will have to open the case while it is unplugged.

i ulled the fuse out and put it back in. that didn't help. now there is no numbers or any thing indicating that there is even a cd player . no numbers for the 6 disk that are inside , no ejection display, basicaly like i do not have a cd player. when i push band it display dvd-x initializing. what does that mean ? i have never used the dvd player. what now? i guess i have to do what the other guy said and buy another with the USB and SD player so there is no disk at all.
