I found nothing in online manuals, lab tests or anything else. It looks like Canon really wants you to have to contact one of their reps to get more info. Perhaps someone else has one that is familiar with the error. You might also try a Help or Information button that might be on the machine itself. Good luck!

You must be more specific with the "Kodak error alert". What was contained in this alert? Was there an error code associate with this alert? What 4 digit number accompanied this error? And what type of software were you using to scan when this error occurred?
That code means that the fusing film is out of Home Postion or the film is ripped. You will need to most likely have the fixing film replaced. You are proble going to have to get a service to repair it. HE PROBLEM IS WITH THE FIXING FILM, IT HAS A SENSOR ON ONE SIDE THAT IS WERE THE FILM IS TORN. REPLACE THE FIXING FILM
