Help please.i have just installed the printer,it printed a test page but it wont accept the command to print anything else.what can i do to correct it.thank you

First, print an Engine Test Page.

To print an Engine Test Page, open and close the cartridge door five times while the printer is in ready mode. The printer should print one page with multiple horizontal lines.

If the engine test page printed, is a comunication problem (PC configuration,PC/Printer conection/Driver bad installed)

TURN PRINTER OFF, DISCONNECT THE USB CABLE AND RECONNECT.
INSTALL DRIVERS AGAIN AND SEARCH THE PRINTER IN THE CONTROL PANEL.
NOW "PROPIERTIES" AND "PRINT TEST PAGE".
WHEN YOU PRINT A DOCUMENT CHECK THE NAME OF THE PRINTER IN USE.

my printer does not accept print command at 1 go , it keeps on giving the noise of printnig on & on but does not start printing. can u please give a solution to this

Possibly, the print spooler needs to be restarted. In Windows, one of the ways to do this is in the Command Prompt window. (Start > Accessories > Command Prompt, right click on the command and choose Run as Administrator in Vista or Win7).
Type "net stop spooler" <enter> without the quotes. At the next prompt, type "net start spooler" <enter> again without the quotes. After the last command finishes, restart the computer. Check that the queue is empty and retry printing.

Change driver setting from portrait to landscape in properties/printing preferences/options page and apply setting. Verify by printing a test page. If test page prints correctly and your application still prints in portrait mode you will have to find equinalent settings page within the application

wow..try a test page to see if the printer is happy on it's own.

Go to control panel, printers, find the printer you have, right click, see properties, bottom of page print test, see what happens. Did it ever print. Deleate printer, turn computer off turn on XP or Vista should find printer and install. Then test again as above.

make sure the protocall is enabled for your specific printing preferences.

if not sounds more a computer issue.

what operating system and how do you connect printer to computer?
check under device manager if usb if you have usb printing support from universal serial bus controller if using usb and check status of printer from printers and faxes if using windows based platform
