Does it do his on the other bands also? Check your heat sinks in the area to see if they are also hot.the hottest one is probably going to be the culprit .Now find out what is on the sink and back step from there until you find out why that sink is getting hot.

SOURCE: it powers up....no modulation ...output power..or

Sounds like the PLL may be toast. Either that, or someone has **** with the wrong potentiometers or tuning slugs in the radio, causing to to no longer resonate on the correct freqs.

SOURCE: refurbished dx 959 from galaxy no modulation? no transmitt?

If there is no transmit at all, it sounds like it wasn't fully refurbished. If it is just low modulation then just turn VR16 and VR14 all the way to the left.

If its not working at all, send it back. It hasn't been refurbished.

SOURCE: after 5 minutes of tx power go down

You may have a bad RF Transistor which is tied to the CB chassis, since it takes several minutes to break down, it is a thermal issue "tough to nail down" probably easier just to change the part.

I have a craftsman 18hp lt2000. Engine runs hot & shuts down after 5 or 10 minutes. When it cools off, it cranks & runs good for another 5 or 10 minutes.

In regards to the running hot thing, make sure that air can flow freely around the engine removing all the grass and grime from the cooling fins and under the shroud. As for the shutdown and cooling before restart, this is indicative of a ignition module that is going bad. If you replace the ignition module you can use a business card as a feeler gage to get the proper spacing from the flywheel.

your clue that it is ridiculously hot indicates that the problem is in the climate control module
it indicates that it is cycling the thermostat or you have a faulty thermostat that is cycling the climate control module
take it to an accredited ac specialist shop for a proper diagnosis

1987 ford temp automatic - will start when engine is cold, run until it warms up, approximately 5-10 minutes, then just shuts off.

This sounds like a bad control module, this controls the spark and timing, this is common, the engine runs until module gets hot then engine dies, try replacing the module, another thing is to remove the module and take to a napa auto parts store they will test i for you, make sure they test it a few times to get it hot. hope this helps.

Code u1040 03 pontiac gp

Hi, if you are receiving a u1040 code ,the car needs to be put on a good scanner to see which module is not communicating this includes the pcm-ebcm-bcm-sir/sdm-ipc-radio and the pass key 111, you need to check the battery hots, ignition hots ,grounds and serial data lines to each module if the scanner cannot communicate with any of the modules, the serial data line will have a very low amount of voltage and will be moving between low voltages check all the fuses and relays battery connections and grounds, the ignition relay is a good one to check, also for the antitheft reprogram relearn there is a 30 minute relearn process ;;try to start the vehicle and release the key do not turn it off wait ten minutes until the security light goes out then turn the key off for 5 seconds and turn the key back on wait 10 more minutes for the light to go off again turn the key off for 5 seconds and then back on for 10 minutes more after the light goes off turn the key off for 5 seconds and now try to start the car, if it still doesn’t start then check for any connections under the hood for water damage or critter damage.

Take care

check for fire to the plug after it dies....if there is no fire then its possible that the coil is breaking down and needs to be replaced.
