If the default password on the D-Link has been changed then -
To reset the D-Link back to the default settings -
Press and hold the RESET button at the back of the router with the power ON until the LEDs flash at the time the release the RESET button. (firmware version was 3.00, and upgraded to 3.05) Connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open the browser on your laptop/computer and enter the D-Link's configuration URL..

The default login = admin
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password.
You can now configure the wireless settings. (WPA or WPA2 encryption) Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings. there a various password reset programs you could download and burn to a disc and then reboot your machine by booting to that disc which would remove all passwords.

1. download microsoft security essentials install that (its a free antivirus from microsoft) run it and remove viruses. After that download and install malwarebytes anti malware free version. Run that to get rid of the rest of the junk. To reset computer to factory insert the operating system disc and reinstall everything. IF its window 8 you can refresh your computer without reinstalling everythign

Some computers will have a recovery partition you can recover from it will prompt you as the computer is booting. Emachines are very low end computers and don't typically have a recovery partition. I have reset the WNDR3300 and used the disc to try to get a new password; however, a window keeps popping-up that wants my username and password. I tried every conceivable combination without any success....

Please try to reset the router with the reset button atleast 30 seconds depressed... And again unplug the power cable and plug the power cable by pressing the reset button n leave it after 30 secs..
and then again unplug the adapter cable n plug in n have the fun...

I have a N1 belkin wireless router and have lost the disc. is there a way to install and configure a network without it?

First RESET your router to defaults.
for that press RESET button for 10 seconds RESET button is in back side of router.
Then connect your router to computer with ethernet cable.
Then you can access it with following link.
http://192.168.15.1

type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password"
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Set WAN settings as your internet service provider settings.
Enable DHCP .
CLick on wireless and enable wi fi.
If you want secure router then enable WEP security then add new code it is your password key for connect wi fi.

what OS are you using? XP Home or Pro? Vista? do you normally login with a username or login as "Administrator"?
You can try booting to safe mode by hitting f8 during the bootup process, choose safe mode and login as administrator without a password. If you still cannot get in that way, then you will need to use a program to reset the admin or user passwords. check this page:
http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm for instructions, but understand that there is a risk of corrupting data or filesystem when messing with these kinds of tools. Get a geek friend to help you if you're not sure what you're doing.

I need to set up without installation disc. I have a belkin n1 router and can not find the install disc. Im back online but without security.Cant figure out how to get my password put back on the router.

you do not need the disk.
you can log in to belkin router by typing 192.168.2.1 and press Enter, in your internet explorer (in the address bar ),
click on "wireless" on the left, click submit without entering anything (for the password), and you can click on security. and u can setup the key from there. but best to call them and theywill help you. call them at this number 8777365771

Cannot unlock

The only option to use the recovery disc to reinstall Operating system. Windows vista has advanced security software which does not have loop hiles to reset the password or access the computer
Note : Please make sure you take a backup of the data becase when inserted the recovery disc, it restores to the factory settings how you had the omputer when you purchased without any softwares and the data.
