I cannot get the cycloputer to register anything. I did get the clock to work, but I cannot get the odometer, speed, stopwatch....anything to register. I have read the directions many times, Can anyone suggest a dealer or place I can go have a person explain how to use this? It has never worked, it was purchased in Sept. of 2006 and I am so disappointed I cannot figure this out.

Hello BDG, The answer is no. If the VSS fails on your 97 Chevy, you will lose both speedometer and odometer functions. If your speedo is still working and your odometer is not, you have a broke odometer. This is a common failure with a lot of the older vehicles that were fitted with the mechanical odometer registers. If the speedometer is working and the odomter (mile counter) is not then clock is faulty. Replace as repair is not possible. If the speedo is not registering speed then the gearbox sensor is probably the cause.
