2006 Kia Sedona Shaking & Vibrating Problems

I replaced the valve cover gaskets, both cv axles, and used universal ATF to top off the transmission fluid. Now the vehicle is shaking and vibrating a lot. The vehicle feels like it has a loss of power. I've warrantied both CV axles thinking the axle was defective. I dont know if its the valve cover gasket side that i messed up or if its the universal ATF i used to top it off, or if still the axles. I'm out of options and thinking its the intake manifold gasket or something wasnt put back correctly after the valve cover gasket was done. any suggestions?

From a quick search online and reading a little in some forums, it looks like the transmission fluid has to meet certain specs, and there may be only a few aftermarket fluids that do. Probably need to check to see if the fluid you used meets the Kia specs. You may have to do a drain and fill at least once if you contaminated it with an incompatible fluid.
You can use cheap carb cleaner to spray around manifold gaskets while the engine is idling to check for leaks. If it sucks the carb cleaner in, the idle will stumble and you found a leak.
Valve cover gasket shouldn't affect engine running. Might cause an oil leak, but that's about it.

SOURCE: vibration from the front end (feels like right

It could be the right side CV. Have you thought to put the spare on the right front to eliminate an out of balance tire? Then if it does not help you can switch back when changing the CV.

How do i change the transmisson filter on my 2002 Kia Sedona or can i.

Buy filter and transmission pan gasket, (small bottle of Indian head)..
- unbolt the couple of dozen or so bolts the hold the tranny pan.
- leave about 6 bolts loose (2front, 2 middle, 2back
-get your used oil receptacle ( bigger the better)
- there's about 3qts of ATF on the pan you must drain carefully
- remove the 2 bolts left on the front so that your tilting the pan to drain the ATF
- Remove tranny pan and old gasket
- the fileter is just pressure press( check your shift solenoids for loose ground wires and cracks on the wires(
-remove filter and clean old gasket remains stuck on transmission and tranny pan
- try not gauging the transmission if you used a blade(I used a torch)
- press new filter on the pump pick up hole(reverse of removal)
- used the Indian head gasket shellac to help you keep the new gasket in place(put some of the bolts tru to aid you with lining the gasket
- hand tightened the pan bolts crisscross pattern, make sure it's even when it goes back
- TORQUE to specs, blah blah blah woop ti do, yuz freaking done
- refill the ATF about 3 qts
- let it rest cool down for like a hour, check your atf fluid cold and hot
- Not rocket science ( advisable to change transmission filter every 20k miles or after 4 oil chages) depending on the manufacturer. Good luck...

Can I use atf in a 07 kia sedona automatic transmission?

Hi, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but in the case of KIA I would VERY VERY definitely NOT
PUT ATF OR ANY OTHER FLUID EXCEPT WHAT KIA SUPPLIES. Not only would you void the warranty on the transmission. But an incompatible fluid may chemically attack the seals in the transmission thus destroying it.
If you happened to have put it in. DON'T DRIVE THE CAR. AND HAVE THE TRANSMISSION FLUSHED CLEAN.
Hope your having a Happy New Year

I recently changed the cv axle on right hand side of my 04 kia sedona, the cv axle went into like a mid bearing and had a small shaft from there into the transmission. that seal at the transmission is...

The seal you need is called a transmission/transaxle output shaft seal. The 2 best things to do, either get the number off the original seal and have it matched at a local autoparts store or go to Kia/Hyundai. they will know the proper seal. Be sure to install the seal evenly into the trans or it may leak again. If you need anything further, please let me know.
