I would definitely suggest ordering the drum life kit and replace that. A lot of times the tray comes undone from the paper tray holders causing the rollers to not be able to pickup paper. Be sure all the plastic holders are snapped into place on the right paper size setting and check the rollers for dirt, glue or wear.

No power supply to Ready, Data, Attention indicators but power supply is there for the small display on the control panel

So did the engine test work? If so and the screen is blank then most likely the formatter has failed. Remove any memory that is installed on the formatter and see what happens. If it starts properly you have bad memory. Reinstall each memory until the error returns and you know which is bad. If you have a network card installed on the formatter remove that as well.

Hp laserjet p3005dn printer taking 3 papers

Your problem description is not clear, but based on experience I bet that your printer is taking three sheets of paper at a time. The pickup roller in tray 2 and the separation pad in the tray are probably worn out. They are easy enough to replace. You can verify that printer works properly by printing from manual feed tray and if that works ok then above solution is likely your fix.

HP P3015N tray two paper pickup issue

Issue is worn out feed rollers. There are three. One in the tray itself and two after you remove the tray. Look up into the printer from where you removed the tray and replace those two rollers
