Confirm the way this monitor is powered. Power cord Is it direct from wall socket to monitor or via a low voltage converter[Power brick]? If it is direct from wall then it seems something internal has failed[you knew that!] and it is not going to be a Do It Yourself Job- because unless you know about these things- where are going to start? If it is a power brick- check the out put voltage and buy a replacement at any electrical store.

Why seiki 40 inch has gray screen no picture but has sound

It's possible the Monitor has failed, but here's some tricks I would try...
1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or orange or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.
Good luck.

My HP Pavilion M90 monitor won't turn on. Every time I press the on button I hear a clicking sound from the back of the monitor. It sounds like it's trying to power up but it doesn't do anything. Is there...

Hello

Do a hard reset on the laptop by removing all cords and connections from the computer, including the power cord. Turn the computer over and slide the tab next to the battery, then lift the battery out of its compartment.

Eject any SD cards currently inserted in the SD card slot by pressing on them, then remove them from the slot completely. Hold the computer's "Power" button down for at least 15 seconds, then plug the power cord into the computer and turn it on.

Watch to see if the LED lights near the "Caps Lock" and "Num Lock" illuminate. If the lights do not turn on and the computer's screen remains blank, inspect the power cord and AC adapter for damage and replace them if necessary.

Leave the power cord plugged into the computer and snap the battery back into its slot. Allow the computer to sit for at least 30 minutes, then unplug the power cord and press the "Power" button again to see if the computer will turn on.

Plug the power cord back into the computer and try to turn it on again. If the computer turns on, replace the battery with a new one. If the computer still does not turn on, take the computer to a repair shop.

My dell monitor turns on for 2 seconds then goes black and the green light blinks orange

I assume that you already try this monitor on another PC to verify that the problem is in the monitor, in this case you need to open it up and inspect the fuse, transitors, solder connections on the power/inverter board, see failed Dell monitors here for guide: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further.
