Question about NEC PlasmaSync PX-42XR3A 42 in. HDTV-Ready Television

TV has no picture for some inputs. Areal does not work. I have tried plugging areal direct to back in TV (areal works on other TV, also tried rabbit ears) RCA (red, white and yellow) cables do not work in AV1 or AV 2. S Video works HDMI works Component inputs work. Its a NEX PXT42SV1 (sorry I couldn't find how to start a new problem as this model could not be found anywhere on forum)

I have the same problem as cookie001 I am unable to get any decent picture on tv av1 av2 however I can get good picture on s-video, this problem as being going on for about six months as we did use tv and av1 and av2 origianally, but this week unable to watch anything on these, so changed to s-video which as meant great picture to free air tv, but unable to watch foxtell on my plasma. If anyone can tell me the problem would be greatly appriciated.

No fault in your TV....plug in aerial and go to search option and search.areal connectivity cant give any information on screen.

Areal has to be connected to "Antenna input. Then go to setup menu and make sure the tuner is set to antenna not cable.

No reception with rabbit ears

Check to see if you have the "Rabbit ears" plugged into the correct spot and you are on "Analog tv" if you are trying to use digital tv on "Rabbit ears" it can't send out a strong signal like the areal ontop of a house. You may need to get an adapter to broadcast a stronger signal but even better if you can connect to roof antena.

No sound on the tv

As TV and DVD playing reproduces sound, you have to check TVs tuner function first. Connect the TV to external areal by connecting areal via areal socket. Make an auto-tune function. Refer the user manual about how to make an auto-tune to local on-air program. Make sure that, the TV reproduces picture and sound normally. If it is correct, your TV is perfect in all respect. If not, the tuner to your TV should be replaced with same type and number.

ok one normal coaxal lead in goes in to the back of the tv were the areal goes and into the vcr rf out put
the areal from the roof goes into the areail on the back of the vcr

Loss of Signal While operating normally, the screen goes to black with the message" No Signal, No Input Signal" This is preceded by AV1 box appearing in the top left corner and V Freq: 25, 720 x 576 in the bottom right corner of the screen. TV has been to a repairer who replaced the Digital board and the Power board without the problem being resolved. I cannot believe that we are the first ones to have this problem but no one seems to have any idea about how to fix it!!
