Cannot Record Videos

I remember when I first purchased this camera 2 years ago I could record videos by simply rotating the dial to the symbol of a movie camera and the top-left corner of my LCD would have that symbol on it too, now whenever I try to rotate the dial to the movie mode IT JUST TAKES PICTURES, and the symbol on the corner of the LCD says "My1" just like it would if I rotate the dial to "Scene". How can I set this camera to record video when its set on video mode so it doesnt just take pictures and says "My1" on the LCD instead of the movie camera symbol?

I would try changing the memorised info that you put into your My1 settings and see if that helps. I just got my V700 today and the first thing I did was put my preferences into My1. I don't really know why your camera is transferring this to your video setting but try removing your presettings in My1.

Vintage RCA Solid State Image Sensor VHS camcorder (Model Number CC275) wont record anything, or play back video. I’ve been putting in only new tapes with the tab intact, and every One simply refuses to...

I don't know anything about the vhs camera - other than they produce superior quality, when they work ok.

It would be reasonable to assume the tape transport mechanism would be the same as in a vhs video recorder. I remember an engineer telling me there is a post or protrusion containing a light source and sensor that sometimes fails.

The purpose of this is to detect a cassette has been properly loaded into the machine and if it isn't working the machine won't work or only partly work.

I think the camera is worth saving but I strongly suggest such specialist equipment should be entrusted to a suitably experienced professional specialist.

How to record videos on an Apple iPhone (All Models)

How you record videos on an iPhone depends all on what model you have.

For the iPhone 3GS:

1. Go into the camera application
2. Slide the switch in the bottom right over to movie camera
3. Press record button to record

For the iPhone 1st Gen. and 3G

1. Get the app from the app store called "iVideoCamera" (It is $ 0.99 and shoots slow video, but it does the job.
2. Launch the app
3. Press record button to record.

All videos will be stored in the photos application

How do i stop videos?

I might be misunderstanding your questions - if so, I apologize.

First, make sure that the switch is on "camera" and not on "play" or "off." When it is on camera, you can then press the button below the word "DISC."

After you record a video, you can simply hit the record button a second time to stop the recording process. The video you just recorded will automatically be given a separate "scene" in the index. You can view the video by moving the selector switch to "play."

Recorded video segment plays back in fast motion. How do i reset

This is a really simple problem and easy to solve.  Unfortunately the videos you've recorded cannot be changed back because they have been recorded in Time Lapse mode.
With the camera switched on in Video Mode turn the control dial on the back (this is the dial to the right of the LCD screen).  This will change the settings from TIME LAPSE to STANDARD.  There are actually 6 different modes but the best one for normal videos is STANDARD.  There is a HIGH RESOLUTION setting,  however these record fewer frames per second (fps) so whilst the quality is better per frame,  there are half the amount of fps so the the movie will look at bit jerky.
It's really easy to accidentally twist the dial when holding the camera,  so always check the icon in the top right of the LCD before recording to make sure its just a yellow camera in a yellow square.
This should be problem solved for all future recordings.

How tu use video recording..

Hi,

The picture that I posted shows a TZ3 mode dial. I added a blue arrow to point out an icon on the mode dial.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Turn the mode dial on the camera so this icon is selected.
2. Switch on the camera.
3. Aim the camera at your subject, press the shutter button halfway to focus, then press it fully to begin the video. (Just as you would take a picture.)
4. To stop taking video, press the shutter button fully again.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

~When a video starts being taken, its current length will appear on the camera's LCD screen.
~Videos take up more space on the memory card than do pictures.
~If an SD memory card becomes full while recording, then the video will stop automatically.
~Videos can be played back on the camera's "PLAYBACK" mode. They can also be viewed on a TV or downloaded to a computer.
