The back has gone out???? Do you mean the back button icon on the display? The one that looks like this: < ???
If that's it, try a Restart. You can do a Restart by touching the settings icon (right hand upper corner - three bars) and then
touch Settings. When the Settings screen comes up, touch the Settings icon in the upper RH corner again. A drop down menu will appear and Restart will be one of the options. Touch it and let it do its thing.. Be careful to touch Restart and not Reset which is right below it.
if you are talking about turning on the personal hotspot, that is in settings. It is the 5th icon from the top. If you are talking about the two interlinked oval icon showing you that you have the personal hotspot active, you'll see that on the status bar at the top next to your 4g or LTE symbol when you are on the lock screen. If you are in your phone your status bar should be blue with the words "personal hotspot. 1 connection" or how many ever connection you have. If you are using a device to connect to your phones personal hotspot you'll get the interlinked oval icon in the top left corner.
Your question was posted under the Nuvi 680 GPS, so I am assuming this is the model that you have.
On the main screen, you will see a green battery status indicator in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. The battery is divided into 4 parts. Each part represents 1/4 power. So if you have one green bar, that indicates that the battery has 1/4 of power left. If there are 3 bars, that indicates that there is 3/4 power left.
When the unit is charging, you will see a yellow lightning bolt appear over the green battery status icon.
When the lightning bolt is not there, this means the unit is running off of the battery.
When leaving the unit to charge, press and hold the power button until you see that the screen says Charging Battery. A few seconds later, the screen will go blank to save energy.
Pressing the screen again later will either say Charging Battery or Battery Charge Complete.
I have a nokia 6280. My camera only randomly works now. There is a little symbol of a blue and white chequered flag and also a little camera symbol next to it, plus an empty bar, rather like a thermometer but with nothing written in it that has a - on the left and a + on the right. In addition, there is a number in the corner either placed top left or bottom left of the screen, depending on whether the screen is on portrait or landscape. When the status informs me that the camera has failed and is now on standby, there is a strike (forward slash) line running through the camera icon. This has only just started happening. The battery is full. Any ideas please?
