How do i clear all forgotten passwords ,including dell security manager authentication password (bios)

with the power off and unplugged disconnect the hard drive for the computer. now reboot and go into the bios and try to clear the password. If it is stall asking for a password with the hard drive disconnected then clear the bios password by the jumper on the motherboard. for the cmos reset. If that does not clear it. remove the button battery and wait 5 minutes and reinsert battery and try again.

you also may have a hdd password if you do then re-post for directions on how to remove hdd passwords. Good Luck.

My pc wont boot. All i get is " reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"

This can happen if you have non-bootable media in the default boot device (i.e., you have a CD in the CD/DVD drive and that drive is listed as the default boot device in your system's BIOS). More often (on newer systems), a failed hard drive will also produce this message.

If you have bootable media (the Windows install CD is one example), you should try to boot to it and see if you can read your hard drive.

My hp pavilion a1110n is frozen on the blue screen and it won't reboot. I've tried to use the command keys but it does not respond.

To solve a frozen screen error, please run a bootable windows XP and repair "c/windows" on the hard drive. Follow the instructions carefully and let the system restart and proceed. Use the key written on the XP CD. After repairing, please an Anti virus (Kaspersky 7 or 2010).

Our office assitant just left and her password to get into windows vista doesn't work anymore. How can we get around this?

inside the case, on the motherboard is a password jumper. Remove the jumper, reboot the computer. That should erase all O/S passwords. The jumper should be labeled in tiny letters PWD or something similar.
