Thanks
try booting in safe mode. keep pressing F8 when the computer boots up till a screen with options come. select safe mode with networking.
if it boots, then install avira antivirus(it is available for free download).
seems like a worm/virus.
if not i recommend reinstallation.
my suggestion with my personal experience is to get a clean new installation and be cautious about connecting drives/ network before a antivirus is installed.
Start it up.
As soon as you turn it on, repeatedly press the F8 key,
until you see the "Windows Startup Menu" (white text over a black background). Choose "start in VGA mode" or "start in safe mode".
When it starts, change the screen resolution to 800-by-600 and 60 Hertz.
Then, shutdown/restart.
Yes it is a virus Issue
? restart the comp in safe mode with networking i.e. by tapping F8 after restarting the comp
? download and run a full scan malwarebytes... download it from www.malwarebytes.org
Run hard drive tests, if HD tests good, and no data to keep, restore os from restore partition with f10. If data needs kept, run a repair installation of os. Run fixboot and fixmbr commands from prompt. Also try sfc/scannow from command prompt.
Try this first : Load the bios (F10 - vista or F1 - XP), Load setup defaults F5. then Save changes F10, and try restarting your pc.
Secondly, after restarting your pc, on the HP invent screen, keep tapping on F9 for the diagnostic test
If theres no any error message, press any other key ACCEPT for the 'R' key to restart or repeat the test.

Try loading into safe mode F8, select on the safe mode and let the computer stays into safe mode for sometime.
If the pc doesnt restart, it means theres no any HW problem in ur pc. If it does the same, it means, you will need to check your Power supply, M/board with your tech
Boot into safe mode by pressing F8 about 10 times during the post screen. Then completely remove your video drivers. Then reboot, into windows normally, go to the Nvidia web site and download the latest graphics drivers for the video card that you have. If this does not solve your problem, then you may have bad video memory on your video card.
Did you already try the "start from last known good config" option?
