Question about Maytag 24 in. MDB5600A Jetclean II Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Everything is clean and still no spinning

For: maytag jetclean plus 2 dishwasher Problem: nothing is clogged or dirty and it seems that the arms are still not spinning. Also suspect a water pressure problem while the hose that is connected is not tangled or obstructed. If there is a schematic diagram of how the pieces are supposed to be installed, it may help me find the problem as well. Thanks in advance, S.B.

We have a Maytage Quiet Series 100 model #MDB5600AWQ. It fills with water however it does not spray. Thankfully it drains. What is the problem? I have wiped it out and made sure that there was nothing inside the spray holes. Is there anything we can do? We did not get too many uses out of this yet.

have a maytag quiet series 200. Just stopped spraying. Sounds like it's running, but water just collects in the bottom. Liquid detergent dries on door.

Maytag Jetclean doesn't spin water out to rinse. Just dries detergent in door and dry cleans dirty dishes grim to dishes. The water pools and drains in bottom. I have cleaned out all additional build up (lime) in spinners and around base spinner. Checked known traps.

Seriel number 26311429ex - Dishwasher begins cycle - fills bottom with water and hot but never begins actual cleaning cycle. Seems to go through a series of cycles but cleaning never begins. When finished dishes are not cleaned. All lights are and buttons on the display are apparently functioning.

Dishes not clean. Lower spray arm possibly not moving.

Remove the lower basket so you can access the lower arm.

Does it spin freely? If not, remove and clean the rotating point. Make sure the spray nozzles are not clogged and there as no chunks of stuff inside the spray arm.

No-spin

the spinning of the arms is created by the force of the water shooting out of the holes. your top arm may have debris build up in it that prevents proper water flow. u can also remove the arm and see it there is build up on the contact point were it rotates. clean it if its dirty. "dishwasher magic" is good for cleaning mineral build up in your system. also, make sure your not putting dishes on the top rack that are too tall and prevent the blade from rotating

Maytag jetclean eq plus dishwasher: soap problem

This could be due to 2 problems: not enough water or water is not being pumped hard enough through the system. The 'not enough water' is easy to check - open the door in the middle of a wash cycle. If you have enough water (about 1" or more) then that is probably ok. The 'not pumping hard enough' could be as simple as plugged up filters and holes in the spray arms. Remove the racks and disassemble the lower spray arm and the filter assembly all the way down past the screen. Clean the arm holes, throughly clean the screen, clean everything. Pull the top spray arm and throughly clean the spray holes there. Put it all together and run a cycle. You should see a pronounced increase in the sound of the water spraying around. This should fix your problem - it did for me.

Normally when you have low water pressure and/or cleaning issues, this an indication of a clog in your main wash pump. You will need to remove the lower spray arm and the coarse screen to get to the main wash pump sump. Inspect the impeller area of the pump. This area is usually where accumulations of debris collect and keep the pump from pulling enough water. Things like orange seeds, lemon seeds, bottle cap liners, chicken bones, and jar labels are just a few of the items I have personally found. Although, dishwashers do a good job at removing most food particles, they are not garbage disposals. I bet you will find a clog in the sump somewhere. Let me know if this helps.

Check to see in you have enough water in tank. The dishwasher fills then recirculates this water under pressure. If you have water in tank, listen to see if motor is running or not. If it is, you may have clogged jet holes in the wash arms.
