Whenever i turn on my tv the menu options just pops up like that and i cant get rid of it. I'll press menu then it'll go away for just a little bit then it will pop up again. Please someone help me get stop it from popping up.
The menu kept popping up no matter what I did. I even tried taking the batteries out of the remote and restarting the TV. Looks like my problem was with the obsolete software. The software upgrade provided here worked perfectly. Apparently i hadn't upgraded it for two years, no wonder it went cookoo. The problem's fixed and the software is upgraded i am more than satisfied with this wbsite. Thanks guys.

You need a software upgrade. It is free. Go to Philips.com and enter your model. You will find the software upgrade info there. You need a USB memory stick. Easy to follow instructions are at the website. Another issue with these is the cable from the IR rec is dressed too close to some large coils on the X board. The cables need to be rerouted.

Sounds like the button cluster has an issue...see if the menu button is stuck and if not, repair may be needed to disassemble the TV and have a look at the control section.

need software upgrade
The menus options keep popping up. I have changed the channel, turned the tv on and off, and even took the batteries out of the remote but the menu options continue to pop up on my screen! It's driving me crazy!!!
