A power surge most likely damaged your printer. Printers are a cheap item and getting it repaired would most likely not a cost effective solution.
To prevent power surge problem you need to connect all your computer equipment and printer to a power board with a built-in surge protection then plug this power board into the mains outlet.

The printer was attached to a Surge Protector, but I think that ran out of battery - maybe. Anyway I bought another Brother for $49 and installed it and it's great. Thanks for the help.

Sharp power opc light blinking three times

The code that is flashing usually points to a main board failure. I would recommend getting it diagnosed. If you want to be gutsy and try and replace the main board yourself, MAKE SURE YOU GET A BOARD THAT MATCHES YOUR PART # EXACTLY. Sharp makes several revisions of main boards for various models, and they ARE NOT compatible.

I have imagerunner 1630 has code e000 how can i fix it

If the machine detects an error in the fixing assembly, the DC controller PCB operates
as follows:
[1] It causes the FSRDRV* signal to go '1' to cut power to the fixing heater.
[2] It causes the RLYDRV signal to go '0' to turn off RL1, and indicates 'E000' through
'E004' on the LCD in the control panel.

When 'E000' through 'E004' is indicated, the NVRAM on the DC controller
PCB remembers an error in the fixing assembly even when the
power switch is turned off and then on. After turning on the power, be
sure to execute the following in service mode to remove the error information:
#7 PRINTER > #4 PRINTER RESET > YES = (*).

When we turn the power on iit only stays on a few seconds then turns off with the cst.in light flashing.. what does this mean and what can we do to fix it?? tks

I had the same problem. We watched a DVD, and the unit worked fine. We went out for ice cream, came back, and decided to watch a VHS. Instead of taking the VHS, the CST.IN light flashed and the unit cut off after a few seconds. We didn't have a VHS in the unit at the time. After cutting the unit back on several times without success, I looked online for solutions. One person said to hit 'eject' 5 times in a row, but that didn't work for my unit. Someone else said there was a lever inside near the power button that ejected the VHS, so I checked that out next. I washed and dryed my hands well, and used my finger to jiggle the white lever. Then I saw that the tray that the VHS sits on wasn't all the way forward, so I gently pulled and pushed it. I'm not sure which of the two actions worked, but my light is now a steady green and my unit is working fine now. I am so glad because we've had this unit for almost 10 years now, and I really didn't want to have to buy a new one! Good luck!

  1. To begin troubleshooting this problem, check if the auto-off feature is turned on. To check if the auto-off feature is turned on, follow these steps:
    1. Start the Xbox 360 console without a disc in the disc tray.
    2. In the System section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard, select Console Settings.
    3. In the Console Settings area, select Auto-Off.
    4. Examine the option to see if it set for auto-off. If it is set for auto-off, change your selection.
  2. If the auto-off feature is not turned on and this is the first time the Xbox 360 console has turned off unexpectedly, let's do a simple test before we continue troubleshooting.

To do this test, turn the Xbox 360 off for about 10 minutes. Then turn the console on and see if the problem occurs again. If the Xbox 360 console turns off unexpectedly again, make a note of how long the Xbox 360 console is on before the console turns off automatically.
  3. If the auto-off feature is turned off but the problem happens again, check the appearance of the Ring of Light to determine what to do next.
    • The two lights in the left quadrant of the Ring of Light flash red: The internal temperature of the Xbox 360 console may be too high. In this case, turn off the Xbox 360 console, and let it cool down. It may take several hours for the console to cool enough.

Also, make sure that the ventilation openings on the console are not blocked. (For example, the ventilation openings may be blocked if you place the Xbox 360 console on a soft surface, like a bed or a sofa.) Also make sure that the console is not located in a poorly-ventilated place, such as an enclosed bookcase or stereo cabinet. For more information about what to do if the two red lights in the left quadrant on the Ring of Light flash red, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 907533 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907533/ ) Two of the lights on the Ring of Light on the front of your Xbox 360 console flash red
    • No lights are flashing on the Ring of Light: In this case, we should check the lights on the Xbox 360 power supply for hints on how to fix the problem. A green light indicates that the power supply is correctly functioning.
