Hii have been havin a real problem with my rear projection tv i some how got into some secret part of the tv and now all the colour and focus is completly out, is there a setting that i can do to put it back to normal? thank you very much.
By getting into a "secret place" I'm assuming you mean the service menu and changed some numbers and settings, right? If so, there is no magic escape key on TV's unfortunately. The geometry and settings you changed will be challenging to say the least, even for a skilled technician. I learned many years ago to write down the values in the service menu before attempting any modifications - so it could be put back in the event that the changes made it worse... What I would suggest is calling a tech for an in-home visit. Explain that you inadvertently may have changed some settings in the service menu and need it adjusted. It will probably cost a one-hour service call, here we charge $60 an hour and if within the hour the tech can't get it back at least you'll know that you may have other underlying problems. However, if this is indeed what you've done a good tech should be able to re-adjust most of the parameters in the service menu in a one-hour service call.. Hope this helps. Bill
