We have an TRI remote and a pioneer tv. The remote will turn on tv and change volume but not change channels

You gave the wrong code for the tv entered for the remote, or the remote is set to change the channels on the stb-(set top box) instead of the tv.

I have zenith sc357 and will not let me change channel with remote. It's says will not except

that;s a weird one...are you sure it;s the original remote..you mite try purchasing a univesal remote...youll have to look yp the code of your tv in the manual which is provided when you buy the universal remote, and program it in to the tv follow the instructions, its not too hard.

My television set is stuck on one channel....the audio changes with the channel but the picture stays blurred on one channel...whats wrong with it?

Lots of possibilities. If you are using the remote, try also using buttons on the TV to change channels. If TV buttons work, the remote is broken or perhaps try changing batteries and cleaning battery contacts on the remote. If neither work, lots of other things to try. You may need to set preselect channels, so your TV thinks there is only one channel out there until you do. If you are on a cable box you just need channel 3 and change channels on the cable box. I can't tell what you mean by "audio changes with the channel" ... if you mean that when you try to advance channels, it increases volume and moving down in channels lowers volume that would be strange -- if you are using a programable remote it might not be set correctly (try another programming code). The "blurred" picture is probably symptomatic of having the set on the wrong channel, and if you could set channel it might clear up ... I'd start with getting channels to change. If you need more help, give the brand and model of TV, say if you are using a remote (original or programable), and what the 'audio changes' comment means in more detail. Probably worst case is that your tuner circuit is fried, but don't assume that without more diagnostic.

I have a 32 in insignia and a universal remote was used to try and turn channel..it turned the channel once and now its frozen on that channel even the tv remote wont work and the manual buttons on the tv...

Turn your TV off and unplug it for several minutes. Remove the batteries from any remote controls that you use for the TV, press all of their buttons, and install fresh batteries. Reset the TV to factory defaults. The universal remote control should not have caused any damage to the TV. If the problem persists, we recommend that you seek service by calling 1-888-237-8289 in the U.S or 1-866-237-8289 in Canada.

Getting a specific channel on the TV without using a remote

Usually if you go into the setup menu, there is an option to allow you to either "scan" for a channel, or "input" a channel. In this case, select "input" and see if the TV will allow you to press the up and down channel buttons and go to a specific channel. If so, when you get to channel 4, press the "add this channel" option (or whatever the menu option says) and you should then be able to go to channel 4 using the buttons on the front without skipping over it.
