I dont understand why my screen just went black and absolutely no response while power button comes' and stays on!
Just try this steps
1) Shut down your computer and disconnect the battery and also the Ac adapter which is connected to your laptop, and then once your computer is Off just press and hold power button for at least 15-20 sec and yes do not lift your finger from the power button
2) Reconnect everything Battery as well as your Ac adapter, and try to see if the issue is resolved or not
3) Load BIOS setup Default
4) Try to go to safe mode
5) Do system restore when your computer was working fine

I've looked at this and sought advice from our Network systems and It people and I think the issues lies with the Graphics chip, or more probably, there may be an intermittent short in the power circuit, as the random flashing of the light is giving no clear error message
