I need to set up my samsung HT Q100 2:1 Su RROUND SYSTEM and lost my manual

It sounds like you have an issue with the Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) function. When the home theater system is connected to a compatible TV by an HDMI cable, you can sync the operations when this is enabled on both the TV and the home theater system.

You need to be turn the feature off on one or both devices. If you have another HDMI port on the TV, you could move the HDMI cable to that port. (Most TVs only have one HDMI-CEC enabled port.) Note: this turns off the audio return channel option. If you only have the HDMI cable connected between the TV and the HT-EM53C, you will need to connect another cable. Depending on the TV, this could be an optical audio cable, analog RCA audio cable or headphone (3.5mm) to RCA audio cable.

It's called OSD (On Screen Display) and it presumes there is a connection carrying video to the TV. MENU starts the navigation.

The unidentified TV with its unknown audio capabilites has a manual somewhere, too.

How many TV's are actual audio sources?

If the TV is actually a root source of programming (say, through its own antenna) you can run cables from it to the Samsung as you would any other audio source. If the audio really comes fro ma Cable Box THAT is where the best TV-related audio will come from.

The Samsung AH59-02291A remote came with several Samsung Home Theater systems, including the HT-H4530 and the HT-H5500W. The remote is not a universal remote and will not control other devices. You can learn a bit more about the remote by looking at the manual for the home theater system that it came with. If you need a universal remote to control the home theater system, look for one manufactured and programmed after 2014 for the 2014 HT-H5500W.

Hi,
You need to put away the remote for your TV and use only the remote for your HT system. Your HT remote should work on your TV by default. Your Samsung HT remote should have a TV button and a DVD/Receiver button (or HT button). When using only the TV, press the TV button and then use it for just the TV and when using the HT system, press the DVD/Receiver button and then you can use the HT system.
If for some reason your TV is not set on the Samsung HT remote by default, your HT users manual should have a list of codes that you can use to program your HT remote. Hope that helps you. Gary

you may need to make a free account..i have a Samsung too and there is a tiny set and reset hole like thingy at the bottom of it..i reset it using a pen tip..do look for something like that on yours..hope it helps!
