Question about Metrologic Instruments METROLOGIC VOYAGER LASER SCANNER W/TRIGGER IBM PORT 9E (70004)
Hi, I own a metrologic ms9520 voyager scanner. It was scanning fine yesterday. Today it wasn't working at all. If we disconnect it from the computer then reconnect it and it makes the beep. Afterwards we get a single dot of light when trying to scan anything. After about five tries at scanning it makes a low buzzing sound and then will not work at all. The laser light will not activate and none of the green and orange lights on the top of the device will activate. Any help regarding this problem would be greatly appreciated. Oh and we already tried rebooting the machine, reconnecting the scanner, and cleaning the red glass on the barcode scanner with an alcohol swab. Thanks Melanie Bell Brighton District Library
The Razzberry Tone is what I'm hearing. Acording to the trouble shooting I should return the unit for repair. Thanks for you help!

Look at your user's guide on Pg 14, here is a online link for it: http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/barcodescannersdiscount/MetrologicVoyagerUG.pdf "Continuous Razzberry Tone with all LEDs off: If, upon power, the scanner emits a continuous razzberry tone, then the scanner has an experienced an electronic failure. Return the unit for repair to an authorized service center." Is the "Razzberry Tone" the low buzzing you refer to(?) Pg 24 has a "Trouble Shooting Guide" take a look at it too.

My LS4278 keeps disconnecting and reconnecting when on the cradle. When i remove from the cradle i have green lights but when it is connected via the cradle the device disconnects from the computer and back again. The computer makes the sounds of devices connecting and disconnecting (standard windows noises)
ps2 cable replaced with usb cable not scanning
