Everytime I use my PS3 there is a scrolling line going throught the screen. It is not noticable most of the time but it's always there and tried different tv's and no help. any ideas what I should do?
Scrolling color band, light color continuous scroll. Tried different hookups on my Panasonic LCD tv; ie. component, hdmi. It works fine at my son's house with both, but for some reason I can't get it to look right, (no scrolling line) at my house. I have moved the unit to several positions and unhooked anything that I thought might cause interference, but so far, no luck. Help would be appreciated. Try going into the audio setup of your PS3 to make sure you have it set to send audio down the HDMI. The PS3 allows you to send the audio down the HDMI, standard, or optical, but you have to change the settings.
Along the same lines, you can use an optical cable to run it to a receiver (or your tv if it has an optical input). Just remember to change it to the optical output.
I don't have the PS3 in front of me right now, but go to this link and it will explain it to you:
Please specify if the line appears always in same spot on your display and I may be able to assist. However, please note that if your device is still in warranty it would be very adviceable to send it for a repair because if the problem is related with what I think it does, it will require dissasembling the unit in order to fix it and this will void your warranty. Please reply back with these informations and I will try to troubleshoot this for you.

I noticed the same lines on my 32" Sylvania LCD. After playing with some electrical plugs, I found that having my Sony PS3 plugged in interfered with my cable quality. When I unplugged the PS3, the lines and slight humming (only noticeable from behind TV) went away. I tried making sure the cable line and PS3 power cord weren't touching but to no avail. I guess I'll just leave in unplugged while watching TV.
Hi,
look on Sonys website for patches et,c.
Sometimes they launch games, and realise that theres glitches.
they then create patch-files which you can usually download, to update your console.
if this does,nt work. then you,ve possibly got a faulty game.
Exchange It.
