You can do a self test by pressing buttons in this order: Intercom, speaker, *, 0, 0 The phone will make noise and all the lights will flash. If all the lights are working in self test but no in normal operation, then it's probably a programming issue. Have you had any other problems or mysterious changes in the system? Possibly after a power outage or lightning storm??

Bought a new will remote but it doesn't work.

Check the battery levels. You can do this by pressing A. If all 4 lights flash on and off, your batteries are completely charged. 3 lights, 2 lights, and 1 light signify 3/4, 1/2, and 1/4 battery levels. If lights don't flash, replace/insert batteries.
If it's not working with your console, open up the battery cover and the flip lid on the front of the console. (If it's a Wii U, you don't need to open the flip lid.) In both places, there is a red button. (On Wii U, it's next to the flip lid.) Press both red buttons at the same time. (Your Wii will need to be powered on.) The Wii Remote will continuously flash lights until it either receives a sync signal or about a minute has passed; whichever comes first. If you've pressed the buttons and your remote is still flashing, press the button on the console again. Once the remote is synced, the flashing lights will turn into a single light; the placement of the light will vary depending on how many remotes are signed into the Wii.
*Note* Once your remote is synced, you simply need to press A to sign back in if your remote turns off.
If all of the above steps were followed, and your remote is still not functioning, contact the manufacturer. Brands such as Nintendo and Nyko are usually okay, but generics like GameStop aren't the best. It's often easiest to return it and buy a different brand.

2 red lights

Your xbox is overheating.
1. Let your Xbox 360 console cool. You may have to wait several hours for your console to cool enough. Don't turn on your Xbox 360 console when the console is hot. 2. Verify that your Xbox 360 console has enough ventilation and that the fans are operating. 3. If the two lights continue to flash after trying the above steps, you'll need to contact Xbox Customer Support.

XBOX360 RED LIGHTS FLASH ON CONSOLE AND I GET NO PICTURE?

this problem occurs:

  • When there is too much current.
  • When the voltage is too high.
  • When the temperature of the power supply is too high

  • if you have the console plugged into an extension lead try plugging directly into the wall, but 1st, turn off your console and leave power plugged in to allow fans to continue cooling the system.. after fans switch off, carefully plug out power cord and allow cord and console to cool in a well ventilated area for 24 hours. if its still red you may need to replace your power cord as it may have overheated

    4 red lights

Make sure that the AV cable is correctly connected to the Xbox 360 console.

Disconnect the AV cable from the Xbox 360 console, and then reconnect the AV cable to the Xbox 360 console.

If the four flashing red lights continue to flash, try wiping the metal area of the AV pack with a dry cloth. The metal area is the end that plugs into the console. Wipe the metal area thoroughly, and then try the AV Pack again.

If the AV cable is correctly connected but the four red lights are still flashing, substitute a different AV cable if you have one available.
