I need a driver to install on my MAC OS Lion, can not get the footage on my Mac
SOURCE: Require Driver for DCR-TRV22E for Mac OS X
There are no drivers as far as i know, but you can still use it via the firewire. Firewire suports speaming video from your Sony, usb dont.
Good luck

Follow this procedure to troubleshoot if a blue screen is displayed when attempting to playback video from the camcorder.
NOTES:
SOURCE: Hello,
The supplied software is not compatible with Mac Computer and Sony does provide any software or driver for Mac Computer for this Camcorder.
However, you can transfer the video to the Mac Computer. Refer the link given below for the instruction:
http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/documentLink.do?externalId=C455189
After that you can use any Video Editing Software to edit the video in the Computer.
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SOURCE: iMovie 09 / Mac OS X will not recognise Sony
mac doesn't support usb streaming so that leaves us with firewire. it should be a plug-and-play connection. no need to install any kind of driver for the camcorder (but try to check if there are any available driver updates for the firewire card).if possible try to check if your computer firewire port is working by using other devices.your imovie software should detect the camcorder once connected.if not, disconnect cam, open imovie, and connect again.if still doesnt,RESET camcorder.if still the same try restarting computer with cam connected and powered on.check if you have a dv in indicator on your screen.check if firewire cable connection is secured.try diff ilink cable if available.if still no go, try a diff computer. if everything fails might also be a service issue.hope this helps.tnx:)
An Intel Mac
and
OS 10.5 (Leopard) or later (including snow leopard, lion, mountain lion and even mavericks)
there IS a fix: Just download the free Vuescan software for Mac, then use it to scan with the MF4018.
Go to: http://www.hamrick.com
Download Vuescan for Mac OS X
Install it, and start the application. It will recognize any scanners attached.
NOTE: If Vuescan asks you to identify your printer, you will not see the MF4018 listed. Choose the MF4010 instead - the 4010 and the 4018 use the same drivers.
