SOURCE: I have an acer travelmate
I ran into the same issue with a bios password The laptop is a newer Acer TravelMate and I was able to remove the password. Remove the hardrive first. Then remove the memory and unplug the black and red wires from the battery about 2 inches away wait a then plug it back in. With the harddrive out still I turned the computer back on and then back off, put the harddrive back in.
You will end up clearing the bios settings including the fingerprint readers settings.
SOURCE: my n145 netbook was working fine last nite then
try looking it under a light or in the sun if you can make out the screen but the light is out then you either have a bad back light or inverter
If you have forgotten your router password, the easiest thing to do is to reset your router to the factory default settings. To restore the router configuration to factory defaults, hold the reset button on the unit for 30 seconds.
