Not print and not scann without colour cartridge

We have a problem with our printer because don't recognize the colour cartridge and for reason don't print just with black cartridge and not scann too. we want to know how to set to can print just with black cartridge.

All cartridges must be present before the printer will operate. Essentially black is obtained by printing all colours together. Some makes/models of printer will allow black printing only for text printing. This is a printer 'PROPERTIES' function and you will have to seek this out by reading the manual fully. I put in a new cartridge (56) and now my alingment

after replacing the cairtage printer needs alignment it gives a test page when we put it face down on scannes it starts the alignment...
on alignment process it doesn;t found the colour bands so it shows the alignment failure..........
pls install the new colour cairtge the it will give u the printout

Colour ink cartridge not recognized

You can bypass sometimes when the cartridge is just empty, but there's no bypass if not recognized. You can try using an eraser to wipe the contacts on the cartridge and inside the cartridge holder, but if that doesn't work you will need the new cartridge.

Lexmark Pro 705 won't let me print after refilled

If you refill the regular lexmark 100 ink cartridges, you will not be able to use it because there is a rfid chip that track the ink usage. you will need to buy the 100a type which will let you print if the ink level is empty. since you have refill the 100 ink cartridge, you can swap the 100a chip to your 100 cartridge.

My mp460 was printing perfectly after installing a new 40 BLACK AND 41 COLOUR CARTRIDGE (colour topped up) but now it says it does not recognize the cartridges. i have tried a long start up and cleane

cartridge may got dried. put them in hot water for 30 minutes and try again.

I loaded the black ink like I have done so many times before, but a window is coming up saying it does not recognize my color catridge and will not print. I dont even have a color cartridge in the printer.

Some printers will not print while missing either of the cartridges, was the printer working without the colour cartridge before?
Try inserting a colour cartridge and see if that helps.
