SOURCE: INSTALLING A CLARION MODEL DRX6375 CAR STEREO INTO MY HONDA ACCORD 1995

If you go to your local stereo shop (or even Wal-Mart..) you can get the harness that plugs directly into your cars wiring for about $5-10. It will have the EXACT same wire colors as the harness that came with the Clarion. Just match them up, plug it in and you're good to go!

SOURCE: I just install new Clarion BTL370 in the Clarion

A few things to check...

Make sure the receiver is set to "tel sw" or something similar in the menu. From there, you should be able to set the call to the left or right speaker. Make sure you set the headset to the same side.

Another thing to check, make a call and get connected through the headset. Now wait a few seconds and push a button on the phone to power the backlight. If it is wired correctly, you should see the "connected" timer on your phone keep time. If it appears that you are connected, the problem is most likely in the settings.

Also, if nothing else works, make sure that you have the accessory wire(should be red on the BLT370) connected to the right wires. All the other wires will power it on even if this wire is not connected correctly.

Clarion db185 mp no sound

If your Clarion DB185 MP head unit is not producing any sound, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the wiring: Make sure that all the wiring is properly connected and there are no loose connections. Check if the speaker wires are connected to the correct terminals on the head unit and the speakers.
  2. Check the fuses: Make sure that the fuses are not blown. Check the fuse box in your car and make sure that the fuse for the head unit is intact.
  3. Check the volume: Make sure that the volume is turned up and not muted. Check if the "MUTE" function is activated.
  4. Check the balance and fade settings: Make sure that the balance and fade settings are set correctly. If the sound is only coming from one speaker, it could be because the balance is off.
  5. Check the sound settings: Make sure that the sound settings are not set to "FLAT" or "OFF". Adjust the equalizer settings to see if it improves the sound.
If none of these steps work, then the problem could be with the head unit itself. You may need to take it to a professional to have it checked and repaired.

Trying to put a Clarion PF3494 into a 2001 Subaru Outback, but can't find ISO adapter for connectors on PF3494

It sounds like you are trying to install a Clarion PF3494 head unit into a 2001 Subaru Outback and you have run into compatibility issues. The Aerpro APP8CLA4 adapter you bought does not seem to fit your head unit.
In this situation, you have a few options:
  1. Look for a custom installation kit: Some car audio retailers offer custom installation kits specifically designed for your make and model of car. You may be able to find a kit that includes the necessary wiring harness and adapter for the Clarion PF3494.
  2. Check the Clarion website: Clarion may have information on their website about the wiring harness and adapter required for your specific head unit and vehicle.
  3. Contact a professional installer: A professional car audio installer may be able to help you find the correct wiring harness and adapter for your head unit and vehicle, or they may be able to custom build the necessary wiring for you.
I recommend contacting a professional installer if you do not feel confident wiring the plugs yourself, as incorrect wiring can cause damage to your head unit and vehicle.
If you can provide the specific information about the pins and connections of the Clarion PF3494, I may be able to assist you further.
