Magneta ink isnt working - Epson Stylus CX6400 All-In-One InkJet Printer

  • MAHKA Jan 14, 2009

My problem is the blue cartridge. I have gone through the checklist offered on the printer and changed the ink cartridge. No luck. It still won't print the blue ink.

Simply a blocked head.

Make sure you've removed the yellow tear-off strip on the cartridge otherwise ink can't flow into the print head.

Carry out 4 head cleans but cancel the nozzle check pattern by clicking [Finish] after each clean until the 4 cleans are done then allow the nozzle check pattern, it should be now be perfect or at least improved. If not perfect do it again as above.

Any further problems, use our help pages on our website linked from the Epson page and various others: http://www.the-inkstore.co.uk/frame/pages/epson.htm

If you don't know how to clean the heads or prime the heads, again refer to our website on the link above, there'll be step by step guides with pictures to help.

I hope this helps.

Epson s20 printer ink not recognised

All printers are being manufactured using chip recognition software. They make lots of money selling you ink. Here's the solution: Get a CISS for your printer. It will save you TONS of MONEY, never change a cartridge again and it will pay for itself in a month.

Ink cartridge error

Get a new magenta cart, but make sure you buy a genuine one, not a compatible. The chip on the cart in question may be faulty (approx 30% of compatibles can be faulty).

If the error does not go when a genuine cart is installed you may have a faulty main board or carriage.
