Question about Canon PowerShot SD600 Digital Camera

Cant turn on

I have two batteries, charged them both, yet my camera still does not turn on. I mean, no green light or anything. Hopefully I am just stupid and it is something very easy to fix. But my knowledge of this camera is limited and I cannot find the manual for it. Any ideas?

This is generally caused by a blown fuse. These powershot models have an excellent power protection system and will blow a fuse before damaging any critical parts in the camera. At some point the camera experienced a power surge (static electricity, short, etc) and the fuse blew. Chances are good that the camera is still just fine, but will require a fuse replacement. The charge for this at my shop is $89 plus the fuse which is a few dollars. It can be replaced by someone technically inclined who has a pair of tweezers, the proper fuse, and a soldering iron.

Orange light flashes on when turn on Olympus c-50 zoom camera and orange and green lights in upper left corner blink when try to take pictures. Won't take any pictures

The flashing Orange light means the charge is flashing.
The flashing Green light means the focus and exposure are not correct.

Have you recently replaced the batteries? Or are you using rechargeable batteries? Lack of enough "Juice" could allow for the flash to not charge up (Orange) therefore not allowing the camera to get the correct exposure (Green). I would try new fresh batteries or a new battery pack. If that doesn't fix the issue it must be a bad circuitry in the body that is shorting not letting the flash charge.

Jacob

Just got a new battery off Ebay..Installed in the camera and a red light came on..Does that mean that its charging or does a green light means that its charging?..Does the red light suppose to go off and...

Answered this one earlier-

The manual says that a red light is a charging error. Green means it is charging and the light goes out when charging is complete.

The camera must be turned off when charging the battery. They recommend a full 8 hour charge for a new battery, then allow it to discharge completely (leave the camera on I guess) and charge it again "before use".

You can download the manual from this page. Select the "Resources" tab.

Charging battery

I have the same camera.
But when your camera is flashing the green light, that means it's transferring pics.
If the light is just green on the camera, that means that it's charging i think.
But i don't know how to tell when my camera is through charging is my problem.
