We recently moved to a new place and we noticed since we moved that the volume is messed up. Usually we watch tv at the 30-40 mark on the volume and now are having to watch it at 60+. Any advice on how I can fix it? Thanks!

Consider the audio path that has 'lower' volume. DVR and TV might be one and the same. Does it pass through, say, the TV's volume control, before hitting the reciever on the way to your ears? Use the FIXED audio output if it has one. Or there may be a setting to make it Fixed (constant).
It's been 2 yrs. I hope you got this solved. If not, it's probably a bad battery or inept install. Some batteries sit on the shelf for a while and aren't rotated. In other cases the installer can innocently and unintentionally bend a battery contact. Rendering the watch useless. Take it back or to a jewelry store. A jewelry store usually has the tools and equipment to fix a messed up contact or at least they'll have a battery tester to determine the battery's charge. Usually a minimal charge like 4-8 bucks.
First - connect DVD player preferably to the same input (unless you are using RF connector) and make sure that same issue does happens while you are watching movies. If it does - main board in your TV have to be replaced. If it does not - it still cable signal problem.
You may have the volume on your invoca set too high and it is picking up speech from the television and misinterpreting it as commands. Check the mic level in your battery compartment and mess with the levels so that it still listens to you, but not the tv :) You can find the manual here and check pages 53 and 58 for better views :) Let me know if this doesn't help. You may have to move the invoca unit itself to a new location that isn't in the "main blast" of the tv speakers. Best of luck mate! Cheers!
There are bad solder connections on the Convergence Amp IC's. When you moved it , the connections that were loose are now disconnected. Resolder the pins on these IC's and you should be ready to watch TV again.
Try unplugging the TV for about 30 minutes to an hour (reset TV) to see if this fixes your issue. If it does not, leave the TV unplugged all night and see if it will operate normally. Hope this helps.
Well, some TV stations do broadcast at different volume levels. This is very noticeable when watching a TV show and the volume seems normal and then when a commercial comes on, the volume is very loud. They do this to get you to pay attention to the commercial. Another problem might be that you are adjusting volume from both your TV and your cable box. What you should do is make sure your cable box is set to "FIXED VOLUME" and then just adjust your TV volume. Fixed volume will have the cable box output only one volume level, letting the TV do the adjustment. Just go through your cable box setting and look in the audio settings. Hope This helps...
