Dvd/Vcr dead Hi there, The model is a bit diffirent from this one. It is the v 5600 combo. I've got the player about 2 months. From day one it is dead. i can hear the video head spinning and that's it. Some tech guy told me it is a faulty under carrage. I tried to play a video tape but only took the cassette as far as it go down, just before the tape itself is extracted to the heads ands then it stops and dead once more. What seems to be the problem. I tried to take it back to the supplier but they won't replace it. They will send it in for repairs and they will cover 30% of the costs and i must pay the balance. Hi there, thank you for the reply. I took it to the store where i bought the player. They told me it is more that 14 days it's out of there warrenty. They also told me who the service agent is for Samsung. I took it to that agent and were told what the problem is and that i must pay for that part because that part it is not under warrenty. But the player is brand new. It is not even 2 months old. I've sent a fax to Samsung headoffice in Johannesburg and up to dated i haven't had a reply or any form of contact from them. I can't complain about their service because there is no service. Best wishes
