You will find the name on the set is not the company who made the set---you need an original remote to change the set from the AIR band to the CABLE BAND and to then autoprogram the channels in the menu.
A universal is a WASTE of time and money as it will be minus many key features needed to operate the set.
GOOGLE the model number and search for "original remote"
If you still have the Sanyo remote, you just need to press the INPUT button on the remote. The channel search and some other functions are disabled when the TV is in video/AV/game mode.
If you don't have the Sanyo remote, but you have a Universal remote which you use with the TV, look for a button labelled INPUT or SOURCE on this remote and try pressing it.
If you don't have any remote for this TV or you are using a universal remote which does not have an INPUT or SOURCE button, please reply to me from within this page for further assistance and let me know the brand and model number of any universal remote you are using. There is no option in the menu for doing this, but there a couple of methods which work on some TVs
Hi, if you have a "menu" button on the front of the tv go into the menu & "auto-program" the channels, if your set does not have the menu button on the front you will have to call a local tv shop with the model number of your tv and they can order you one, gl, video-tek
Either press menu on the Philips remote and go to autoprogram, or (if you have lost the remote), press volume - and channel - at the same time. When menu appears, use channel - to select autoprogram and volume - to select it.
You will need a menu button to get to setup or channels for you to autoprogram the tv to find ALL the channels. AUTOPROGRAM is the word you need to find. If there is a menu button on the tv, then you can probably do it from there. If not, then you need the original remote from Admiral or at:
