I put in new ink cartridges and now there is an E and 2 red blinking lights

Which lights are blinking red? What is the rate of the flashes? I'll assume that one of the blinking lights is the power light (just means error).

If the either of the ink cartridge lights is blinking rapidly, the cartridge may not be seated correctly. Try reseating the cartridges and then press OK to clear the error. If it is a less rapid flash it could be that the print head isn't reading the cartridge ink level correctly. Please note: refilled or non-Epson cartridges may not be read correctly due to information stored in a chip on the cartridge or in the printer.

In this case the problem may be in the print head and Epson doesn't recommend cleaning this yourself. You can replace it. (On other inkjets, pop out the cartridges, remove the print head and wipe with soft, lint-free cloths or q-tips dampened with bottled or distilled water (wring out excess water). On each section, you wipe away from the nozzles. Then wipe off the inside of the print head carriage (contacts) as well. Dry everything with a dry cloth and reassemble the printer.)

If the Check paper light is blinking check for a paper jam or the printer looking for a different paper size.

I hope this helps.

I might have an idea why this is happening....The print cartridges might need cleaning...
Follow the steps below to do this....

Step one: Remove the black, photo print cartridge, or the gray photo print cartridge

NOTE:
The black, photo print cartridge, or the gray photo print cartridge is in the right side of the carriage. -Lower the cover of the product.
-If the print cartridge status light flashes, proceed to Step two: Replace the print cartridge.
If the print cartridge status light is off, proceed to Step three: Manually clean the print cartridge.
Step two: Replace the black, photo print cartridge, or the gray photo print cartridge and remove the tri-color print cartridge
- Remove plastic tape from new ink carttridge CAUTION:
Do not touch the print cartridge ink nozzles or copper contacts. Touching these parts will result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections. Do not remove the copper electrical contacts.

NOTE:
The tri-color print cartridge is in the left side of the carriage.
-Lower the cover of the product. -If the print cartridge status light stops flashing, proceed to Step three: Manually clean the print cartridge.
If the print cartridge status light still flashes, replace the tri-color print cartridge. If the issue continues, service the product.

Step three: Manually clean the print cartridge
1. Gather the following items to clean the print cartridge and carriage:
o Clean distilled water. Use bottled or filtered water if distilled water is not available. Tap water can contain contaminants that damage the cartridge.
o Clean cotton swabs or any soft, lint-free material that will not stick to the cartridges (coffee filters work well).
o Sheets of paper or a paper towel to rest the cartridges on during cleaning.
2. Open the product cover, and wait until the carriage stops moving.
3. Remove the print cartridge, and place it on a piece of paper with the nozzle plate facing up.

NOTE:
Clean the contacts quickly so that the print cartridge is not outside of the product for more than 30 minutes. If the cartridge is outside of the product for too long, the ink can dry and clog the nozzles.
4. Unplug the product.
5. Dip a swab in the clean water, and then squeeze it to remove most of the moisture. The swab should be only slightly damp.
6. Clean the print cartridge contacts. Do not touch the nozzles.
7. Clean the contacts in the carriage, inside the product.8. Either let the print cartridge sit for ten minutes to allow the cleaned area to dry, or use a new swab to dry it.
9. Reinstall the print cartridge.
10. Plug the product back in.
11. Close the product cover.

Good Luck!
If there is anything more I can do for you please let me know if not and the problem is solved please rate it, Thanks, JCE

We just attached the macbook to the hppsc 1350v all in one printer and new print cartridges. When attempting to print, message reads"color print cartridge not compatible with this printer". We know we have...

Hi,

Just to confirm pls:
1. the new print cartridges are original HP inks;
2. you have remove the bright pink tape from the ink cartridges;
3. the black is on the right side and the color is on the left side.

You can try removing both cartridges and clean the gold colored contacts where the pink tape was. Pls do the same to the mate pins in the cartridge holder in the printer.

Try again. If this does not be corrective, you may need to change inks again.

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

NOT PRINTING

There's a problem with the scanner. The L should be followed by a number. If it's L1, then the scanner is locked in place and you need to slide the latch over to unlock it. If it's L3, then the unit needs to be serviced by a Sharp repair technician. Let me know which it was and what happens!
