In a shooting mode, go to MODE MENU. In the SET UP tab, there is an option that looks like a speaker (it should be just below the REC VIEW option). Here, you can turn the beeping on and off.

Beeping when in start up many times and scrolls down the page automatically

Do you have picture? Many beeps can be faulty video output...but I would also guess maybe a stuck key, the beeping would be the interrupt working overtime and the scrolling down could be an indicator as to which key is stuck, depending on when it scrolls, posibly a down arrow, number on numeric keypad, or return or tab key?

Boooting or start up beeping noise.

Have you made any hardware changes to your PC? I would suggest you attempt to start your PC in safe mode by pressing F10 during boot up and troubleshooting from there.

I use an acer emachine EL1600 with intel atom processor Windows XP SP3.dec 2009....of late i have started hearing continous beep noise at startup.does this indicate anything.also the screen scrolls up and...

The beeper is usally there for issues with machine on startup. Have never come across a unit that beeps during use. But judging from what you have described there appears to be something wrong with the video circuits of your machine. Try dropping in an external video card to see if it stops.

Can't scroll through pictures, or upload them on to computer

It sounds like your images have been corrupted. It can happen sometimes during transferring from you camera and many other reasons. You may want to try getting a card reader to eliminate/reduce that problem.
