Question about KitchenAid 24 in. KUDK02CR Built-in Dishwasher

Kitchen aid dishwasher KUDK01ILBS1

This is the second time my dishwasher has completely stopped. The green light on the right front is flashing but nothing else happens when I press the buttons. The owners manual indicates this might be the heater element but I need a little more help than that because when I search for that part it does not exist. Thank you any adise you might have. Tammie

The heating element looks like a big metal pipe and located on machine's bottom (not inside the cabin). Good luck !

Flashing start light
I'm assuming it fills with water, & then stops?

If the pump runs for a few seconds then stops it could be the flowmeter is blocked. This is in the tank bottom right (under the drain plate) & has a black grille in front of it.
Can be cleaned by a toothbrush or a quick spurt from a garden hose!

If no pump is heard, then it could be a faulty pump.......

Green start button won't stop blinking

START/RESET status indicator light flashing


You have pressed the indicator light flashing START/RESET pad while the START/RESET dishwasher is running. This will cancel the cycle. The light will stop flashing after the dishwasher drains (about 90 seconds).


• Press the pad once to start the dishwasher. Press the pad a second time when the dishwasher is running only if you wish to cancel the cycle.


Power to the dishwasher was turned off while a cycle was running and power has just been restored to the dishwasher. The blinking lights indicate that the dishwasher is draining the potential water inside.


• The light will stop flashing after the dishwasher drains. A new cycle will start automatically.

The wash light and the start/cancel button keep flashing. How do I fix it? I have a Kitchen Aide dishwasher model KUDS02FR
Hi,
The clean light usually will blink due to a failure to heat the water properly. This dishwasher looks for a temperature rise of the water during a heating cycle if it fails to see this rise for multiple cycles it may shut down and blink the clean light.
There are a few things to check before resetting the control.

-The unit not being level so both door switches do not make contact
-
The sump plugged up so water is not pumping across the heater (see sump clean out below)


- Not enough water filling the dishwasher


- The heat element is not working


To reset the control use this key dance within 5 seconds press:HEATED DRY, NORMAL, HEATED DRY, NORMAL
This will cause you to enter the diagnosis cycle once this is finished or you hit cancel the control should be unlocked and ready to use.

Hi! I'm having a problem with my dishwasher its a Kitchen Aid Mod # KUDK03CTSS3 It's is just rinsing the dishes then stops completely and the start/resume button flashes!
