Unable to burn dvd using LG DVD ROM

This is due to a weak lens
Sometimes this type of problem occours due to excessive use of the drive in burning cd/dvd

Trying some leans cleaner may solve your problem

You dont need any software to "Read" a cd/dvd. The drivers needed are automatically loaded when you install the drive.
If you need software to make "Burn" discs, there are a few good free programs.
I use CD BurnerXP.
Imageburn "IMGBURN"

No it only has a CD read write and a DVD Rom player READ ONLY.

Try reinstalling your cd driver. You can download the driver from Lg web site under optical drives.

some drives ( multi-Drives ) will read and write CDs but Only read DVDs.
Also check that the Drive supports DVD- Or DVD+ Disks.
Check that there are no yellow Marks In The Device Manager. to Do this:- My Computer/Control Panel/System/Device Manager to ensure all drivers are corectly installed.

1.if the dvd has some scrathes on it cant read as a result it cannot read
2. if the dvd is not written properly while writing using some dvd burning software it will not read that dvd properly .
3.if the dvd is pirated some dvd roms support only original dvds that might be a problem
4.if some dust accumulated on the lens of dvd rom the dvd will not get read properly for this u can use some lens cleaners and clean the lens of dvd rom it is available in the market everywhere try this it will definately work
4.after doin the above if still none of the dvd \s arent working means the life of your dvd roms lens is over now u have to get a new dvd rom

try to verify if your ROM can read DVD disc, or may be the disc is damage.

try to insert your software to other DVD rom to manually check the printworkshop. if read then, you DVD rom got error or what so ever causes. maybe it a system failure.

If you are sure that your ROM is working properly, then you have to consult the vendor of the print workshop.

the lazer lens of your DVD rom was not able to read the disc. Clean the optical lens with soft materials. if same errors after cleaning, Be sure that your system is stable can can cause error on DVD rom if either that is not the case. maybe its time replace your DVD rom.

Have you tried lowering the burn/erase speed? To begin, simply do what you need to do on the lowest speed, and then keep increasing until it gives the error again. This will most likely work. I had this problem and I burn now CDs at 16x.
