Locate drain filter on Frigidaire GLTF2940FS2

Don't ever replace a mother board unless you are sure it is bad. They are expensive & may not be the problem. Always check everything else first . Sounds like you may have a bad connection. Check all connectors make sure the are getting a good connection.Hope this helps you

From the information you have provided you need to locate your drain filter on your Frigidaire washer. The drain filter is right in front of your drain pump and in order to access it you would need to disassemble your washer. I understand you are receiving an E62 code on your Frigidaire Gallery washer, model# GLTF2940FS2. The E62 code means that there is a communication problem between the different control boards in your appliance. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and start any cycle. Hello Jack Flannery - Generally speaking, the drain filter is located inside the tub to the pump hose. To access the drain filter it is require removing the hose from the pump.

Remove the bottom access panel by removing the almost two hidden screws along the bottom. The pump is located on the right. Remove the two hoses and two screw that mount the pump to the base. Clean away. Reattach hoses and screws. TEST unit with panel off to check for leaks. The hoses can be a pain to get on right. Also beware water caught in tub and drain hose will leak out. Bring towels. Lots.

Following are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

Check with your appliance parts repair people in your area.
You should find no one will touch the electronic control panel. Usually, the time it takes and the cost for diagnostics will negate any profit for the business.
Same as why many cars must go back to the dealer for electronics. Most of your local repair people will just replace the board.
