Take the car to a dealer and have the service manager look at the radio screen. Should be a no charge fix.

My Radio say SEC? I cant start radio

The sec displayed is security code in case radio is stolen it cant be used without entering the code. Owner may have disconnected battery and didnt put a memory saver in lighter outlet so it locked. If you go to dealer they can retrive the code for you then you enter code and radio should work.unless they changed the factory code. If not and code from dealer works keep in car or safe place so you have it. Usually no charge to do retrival at dealer takes 2 minutes. Hope this helps

Previous owner did not leave code for radio. Where can I get this code to make the readio work again?

take the veh to any GM dealer shop. Show them the ownership of the veh and they can give you the code for restarting your radio for free. It will just cost you time.

Have just renewed my battery and my radio requires recoding - i do not have the code. My reg is B19 LUM

in this country no dealers keep the codes for any radio as they can be changed by the owner, the handbook says "make a note of the code"so unless you or the previous owner made a note, your stuffed,
you will need to get the radio recoded by a specialist in yellow pages...dont tell me, you havnt heard of people stealing radios......so you didnt ask for a code....

Malibu 2001 radio locked

hi friend,
If you have the security code it's easy. The code is something that either you or a previous owner entered. If you don't have the security code a trip to the dealer will be in your future.
Unlocking the Theft-Deterrent Feature After a Power Loss
Enter the code as follows; pause no more than 15 seconds between steps.
  1. Turn ON the ignition. LOC will appear on the display.
  2. Press MN and 000 will appear on the display.
  3. Press MN again to make the last two digits agree with your code.
  4. Press HR to make the first one or two digits agree with your code.
  5. Press AM-FM after you have confirmed that the code matches the secret code you have written down. The display will show SEC, indicating the radio is now operable and secure.
Entering the incorrect code eight times will cause INOP to appear on the display. Wait an hour with the ignition in the ON position before you try again. When you try again, you will have three more chances (eight tries per chance) to enter the correct code before INOP appears.
Deactivating the Theft-Deterrent Feature Enter the code as follows; pause no more than 15 seconds between steps.
  1. Turn the ignition to ACC or ON.
  2. Turn OFF the radio.
  3. Press the 1 and 4 buttons together. Hold them down until SEC shows on the display.
  4. Press MN and 000 will appear on the display.
  5. Press MN again to make the last two digits agree with your code.
  6. Press HR to make the first one or two digits agree with your code.
  7. Press AM-FM after you have confirmed that the code matches the secret code you have written down. The display will show -- -- --, indicating that the radio is no longer secured.
Entering the incorrect code will cause SEC to appear on the display. The radio will remain secured until the correct code is entered. When battery power is removed and later applied to a secured radio, the radio will not turn on and LOC appears on the display. To unlock a secured radio, refer to "Unlocking the Theft-Deterrent Feature After a Power Loss".

to disable code turn radio off and then press and hold buttons 1 & 4 till the SEC displays. then enter code again and press am/fm to select. ---- should now display. this means the radio is fully disarmed and will not lockup again.

Peugeot sterio code

You need to ring the Peugeot Dealers, as I had that problem with my Nissan radio on my Nissan. The dealers were able to immediately provide me with the right code to input and radio has worked no problem since. When I disconnect battery I always need to re-input the same code.
If your Blaupunkt wasn't Manufacturer fitted, then whoever of your previous owners who fitted the stereo would have the code, or have you tried Blaupunkt themselves, don't know if they keep codes?

What does DOC Mean

The DOC or Dealer Otherazation Code is a white card located withing the Black users manual. Typicaly in the left pocket of the black "Pleather" manual holder. This code will nee to be entered to re-activate the stereo. This will need to be performed ever time power is lost. So be sure to keep this in a safe place. If you do not have the code, you can contact the dealer or a dealer for assistance. Good luck!
