Fisher & Pak\ykel element connection

Fisher & Paykel Astro 1.5 double oven (B1452)
Bottom oven fan element not working. This is a circular element that sits around the rear fan. Pulled element out thinking it had gone (after only 2 years seemed qucik - other elements working). When finally got element clar of hole discovered only one wire connected (white solid size wire). So fished around in rear hole and pulled out a few wires. But only one of them loose with appropriate spade connector- HOWEVER it is a thin blue one. ie I expected a matched plain white wire to the other wire connected to element.
Before rushing in and shorting anything out can you tell what the other wire to the element should be (apart from green earth).
Thankyou

I found the fan element had burnt out so bought a replacement.

There was two blue wires connected to one spade connecter, one blue wire connected to a spade connector and an earth connected to a spade connector

The earth is self explainitory and connects to the centre connector and connected the other two to each end of the element - yet it still will not work.

    Any ideas ?

    thanks

Hi - theres a few components that may well cause this to happen - the power module which controls the heating & fans etc - isolating relay which switches the heater & fan relays - it only avctivates when a cook mode/cycle is selected.

One of the two components could be faulty - I guess a sparkie or techie may be your best option..

Fisher Paykel OD302 double wall oven. Exhaust fan assembly (vent fan) wiring.

get an electrician in to fix it
the red wire is normally the active (power wire) and the blue is the neutral wire
if you fit the blue to a red terminal then you could be dead, blow the circuit or blow a circuit breaker
be safe call an electrician

Bottom oven not heating. Both light and fan are working.

If fan is working o/k then it is usually the oven element that is faulty, this should be located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.

Rubbing sound-like noise when switching bottom oven on

most likly the fault is the fan blades touching the side of the circular hole,to test.1.switch of all power.2.when power is switched of try switching your oven to on position.if oven will not work then proceed3.if you can turn the fan blades by useing a thin piece of wood or simler.4 if when you turn the blades you hear a rubbing noise you might take a closer look if you have torch point it in if you see the blades touching or one of the blades touching it might be possable to to push the offending blade back very slightley useing the same piece of wood you yoused at 3.if this fails to solve your problem the fan moter might be ready to give up. I hope this can solve your problem.yours adrian.
