Cannot Print Blue; Prints magenta instead

My black, magenta, and yellow are fine. All that should be blue comes out light magenta. I have done numerous cleanings and nozzle checks to no avail. Went so far as to buy a new C86. Same thing happened. I am using sublimation inks. Could it be the color chip on the end of the cartridge? I cleaned it gently with alcohol. Still no solution. I use this printer for my small business and have found it to be a constant headache. So much so that I am thinking of dropping this business -- can't promise customers and then not deliver!! Thanks in advance if anyone has a solution!

What does a nozzle check pattern show. Which colours are present and how many lines are missing from the poor ones? What cartridge numbers are you using? Genuine or refilled? How old is the machine?

The colors do not print correctly.everything is blue/green/yellow. the ink cartridges are new. black prints fine. the troubleshooting optin only lets me select to remove lines, it wont let me adjust the...

The magenta cartridge isn't working correctly. This is why you're only getting the other colors (blue is cyan, green is cyan and yellow, and then yellow).

Try removing and reseating the magenta cartridge. If that doesn't work, use a new magenta cartridge (the cartridge itself may have been defective).

I wasn't able to view a manual for this machine, as it's been discontinued and Lexmark no longer offers the PDF on it. If you have a "clean print heads" option, use it. It may require more than one try. If you don't have that option, then all possibilities have been covered.

Hope that's helpful.

Making Only megenta color copies no other color

When the blue color ink is finished it may print magenta instead of blue. And it is clear that black, yellow, red colors are there.

Only prints in green and blue

You are more than likely out of magenta (red) ink. That printer uses a tri-color cartridge, and it has cyan (blue) magenta (red) and yellow ink. Green is blue + yellow-therefore you do have those two colors; since it will not print anything red or black you will need to replace both cartridges.

Prints all yellow, with some blue and black, no brown

the problem is very simple the magenta ink the cartridge is over or the head is been blocked from where the magenta ink comes out,
because red colour requires ---yellow plus magenta(pink)----to make it red.and ----dark yellow plus magenta(pink) -------- for brown colour.

HP D7360 prints in magenta instead of black. Both cartridges are

Check your other colours. Anything other than a True Type Font is printed in colour shaded with black, so it sounds like you have a problem with yellow and cyan. Either the ink cartridges are out or the print heads have a blockage.
If the cartridges are not empty or v low, try sitting the print head over a folded paper kitchen towel damped with hot water for 10 minutes. Remove it and try your diagnostic again.

Printing is way to light

if your prints are coming out with blue green tint, more than likely, the magenta (pink) is missing from your calibration page. Print out a calibration sheet, you should have black, yellow, blue, and magenta. If one of these colors is missing, your printhead is clogged. You need a new one. Call Kodak Tech Support.

Magenta printing as yellow

Well, first off, are the alignment, and nozzle check sheets looking good? If not, then work on that. If so, then we have a problem. Try creating a test sheet in Word. Make red, yellow blue & black text and see if anything else prints wrong. Get back to me!
