Just a Black screen

Plasma TV's are no longer available. Even if you decide to repair....at minimal you will need to replace three boards. Power supply, buffer boards and sometimes a Y board. If the screen is still on but is black, try changing the channel on the set itself back to the channel it was originally on. If you can provide me with the model name of the TV (usually somewhere on the back of the TV), I might be able to find out how to re-set up your remote with it.

look on the power supply board for burned parts. The board that controls the back light may have some burned parts as well.

1) Make sure it is plugged in
2) check the power cord to make sure it is tight on both ends
3) plug something else into the wall outlet to make sure that it is working properly
3) If the power light comes on than it is not a power problem, check the cords to the cable TV or to the DVD player, or whatever it is you are trying to watch
4) If the power light comes on but the screen is black, use your remote to make sure you are on the correct input channel to watch whatever you have hooked up to the TV. For instance, if you are watching cable, and it is plugged into input 4, you need to make sure that you have input 4 selected or else you will get a black screen.

you can try to ask for a repairman to come and check it. it might just be a loose contact that needs to be solder.

Black Screen come from three areas. 1- Power Supply Board 2- Inverter Board 3- Processing Board on the LCD. Since the Power Supply Board was replace, it easy to troubleshoot where the problem. lies If you cannot get the backlight, then its the inverter board. If you can use a flash light on the TV screen and can barely see the images, then the problem is indeed the inverter board. If you cannot see any images when using a flash light, then the problem comes from the LCD processing board. Let me know if you have any success. Mike
