Mitsubishi VS45501A 10 years old shut itself off a few times, we turned it back on and everything was alright. Until I turned it on and it turns right back off what is happening? It continues to do this and won't come back on.

The fact that your unit first got blurry means trouble in the High Voltage section. It sounds like it went down hill from there and now probably has a shorted Horizontal Output Transistor and a possible shorted flyback. If you are not experienced with TV repair you will have to enlist a reputable repair shop. The charge for repair should be less than $150.00. Good luck.

Mitsubishi VS 45607: 1. TV starts out as B/W when first turned on. After about 30-60 min, the color is restored, although not in the full color spectrum. 2. TV flickers a lot vertically. After about an...

You have a bad video board. If you can find one used it is fairly easy to replace once you get into the TV itself. Your color guns could also be adding to this problem. I am not familiar with this television and its components so I dont know if you can replace one color gun at a time or if once one is shot then all three have to be replaced. That should be a start for you anyway.

Mitsubishi VS-55609 distorted Picture Flickers

Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.

The second common problem with Projection TV sets is dull video, halos around objects, white looking video, or red overpowers the screen. This is commonly caused by the fluid in the lens being clouded overs. To get fixed either call in a local TV repair company or goto sites such as Tv Repair Kits to get a repair kit with instructions. Here is there link.

They have put together complete kits for most models that include the parts, step by step photo instructions, repair assistance, etc.

This is a convergence problem and not really a DIY Many amateurs try it to save money but end up spending more on it than a professional. There are dozens on here that managed to fix it for a day or two only to have it fail again.

cost of fix about $300.

Mitsubishi VS-45607 Picture flickers and dims

It could be a bad solder connection that opens up as the set warms up. It could also be caused by a couple of bad capacitors, C2p05 (100uf/16v) Located By Ic2p01 and check C2c52 (10uf/50v) Located near Q2c51. A technican will be able to fix it for about what you paid for it I suppose.
