You could try to start in safe mode by pressing F8 and restore last configuration used to see if it works.

If not i am afraid you have to use the Windows CD and try the repair mode. If you have anything on it which you can't delete never format it.

But first try to see if you can boot in safe mode. If you can boot in safe mode we can turn off the setting so you can see what the blue screen is about. If you can't go in safe mode you have to use the Windows CD. Sorry....

Good Luck,

Blue screen of death on my HP Pavilion g7-1219wm notebook pc

A BSOD (blue screen of death) is a general failure warning and in itself is not serious unless it continues to happen. If that is the case, you will need to read and write down the message that appears to be able to get further help.

My pc compaq nc6220 cannot boot, some time it show disk controller failure, some time no disk system or disk error and som time a blue screen appear on my screen.please help me.

Hi,
Your hard drive may have crashed. This is so proven by the 'blue screen' technically referred to as 'the screen death'.
  • First, you may try removing the hard disk, leave it for a while and re-fix it again.Start the PC.What happens?
  • If still wont start, you may have to try and re-install the operating system again.
  • If the operating system wont install on the drive, replace it.

Hope this helps.Thanks!

When I start my computer a blue screen pops up then it crashes. It has text on it but I don't get a chance to read it.

download Microsoft Debugging tool here
just select the version of your computer (OS and if it is 32bit or 64)

install it.

then check this link on how to use the windows debugging tool

-------------------

Every time that there is a blue screen error or a stop error, windows generates a dump file that has the details about the crash error. the dump file is located in this folder
C:\windows\minidump

you have to run the debugger, click on file, select ran deugger for crash error then after that browse to that folder and lod the minidump file.

in order for you to fully understand how to user the windows debugger, you have to read the link that i posted above.

the result of debugging will give you a detailed analysis on the problem, it could be driver issue, or the device or the OS itself

Hello I have an acer aspire 5535 and it keeps

The complete solution to this fault (Acer 5535 keeps crashing under vista) is to use Windows XP instead of Vista. Set up a Dual Boot so you can CHOOSE to load XP or Vista each time you turn on the laptop. I've put XP on my 5535 and it's SO much faster and seems perfectly stable now - no crashing at all.

A full video showing how to do this is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdfU9TXIAd4

Once you've done this you won't have any problems with the laptop anymore.
This is a perfect solution to the crashing problem!

With blank DVD/CD computer crashes

My computer used to do this until I installed more RAM. Seems those video writing programs want to hog all the system RAM which causes the crash. I have at least 1 GB RAM minimum in all my computers. Hope this helps.
