Question about Canon Pixma MP450 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Ink cartridge When trying to replace the ink cartidges in my printer/scanner they got stuck. At first they wouldn't stay on the left side to take the cartridges out so I just went ahead and tried to take them out while they were on the right side. When I did that I had trouble getting the two out. I got the first one out which was only the first. The other one, which was on the inside of the two, is stuck and I can't get it out. Now when I turn the printer on it is saying: The following ink cartridge cannot be recognized. It also won't let me do anything else. Please, help me out!

Depending on the price you paid and how old the printer is, it may be time to get a new one, or it may just be a faulty ink cartridge, especially if you have tried to use a cartridge refill kit.

Try to take both ink cartidges out and clean up around the tray, if upon inspection of the cartidges, you see ink out side, replace em and see if it occurs again with new cartridges.

Ink cartridge stuck on left side in cradle and will not release

Take the cradle out of the printer, using a flat blade screwdriver prise up on the left corner of the toner cartridge and pull toner cartridge from the right hand side.

the problem is cause when the toner cartridge in install incorrectly, inserting at an angle to the leftside first and so the toner trap door does not rotate.

The correct way, is to place the cartidge on the cradle and press from the centre down on the toner body.

actually your printer cartridge was cloted or maybe airlocked.
You must use tissue paper and rub it on the nozzle side. Ink may flow out.

Hi gtiedith, sometimes the carridge just gets stuck. Leave the lid open. Power off the printer. Clean the carridge metal rod with a tissue. (Just a little wipe should do it. Than grab the carridge & slide it to the right about 2 inches. Close the lid & power on the printer. It should be just fine. Print a test page if you want to.

Have a good day!
