I got a 32'' widescreen ilo tv for christmas and i think there's supposed to be a green light at the bottom right-hand corner and it doesn't show. also the remote never worked for it. not even a universal remote. i figured it might have something to do with the missing green light. when i got the tv, i was living in a house where in some of the rooms the electricity was out of wack so i just assumed it wasn't the tv and didn't press the matter. but i've moved since then and still have the same problem. the tv works...like i can press the power button and press the source button and it will turn on. so i can watch movies and play games on it just fine but i can't use the tv menu, therefore can't watch cable, because the remote doesn't work. any information would be helpful. thank you.
I purchased a 32" ilo widescreen back in Oct. of 06. It worked great for about a month before I had similar problems as you're having. Suddenly my remote wouldn't work (except the power button) and none of the buttons on the TV itself would work (except the power button). I was able to watch movies but unable to switch the video over to TV mode. Very frustrating. The Walmart in my area wouldn't take the TV back. The only way I was able to get it fixed was by sending it to ILO's service center. (800) 216-5156.
Fortunately less than three months had passed since my purchase plus I still had my receipt. Because of this they were willing to fix the problem free of charge. If more than three months have passed I believe they charge for labor costs but not for parts. Once I sent my TV out ILO had it fixed and back to me within three weeks. Luckily I had another TV around while I waited. I hope this helps.

Excuse my English too. It sounds that the firmware to this TV has been corrupted by any way. A firmware update might be necessary. There is booting problem. If you wish to know more abut firmware update, check the site linked below. It has details to firmware update procedure to many brand TVs with illustrations. I have done this before. The speaker caused your green tint. The only way I was able to fix mine was with a magnet. I was able to get the green to the bottom corner of the screen. But be fair warned using a magnet can also make it worse to. The best thing to do is bring it to a repair shop and have them fix it for you.
My daugther sprayed cleaner on our vizio tv screen, and now there streaks and a ***** of black pixels at the bottom. Is the tv junk now? Can it be fixed? Will it get worst? Thanks!
It is not cost prohibitive to repair time for a new TV I am afraid I can not give you an exact quote but a 32' Philips screen is 1100 dollars. Thats 200 more than I paid for the TV
The answer was hiding in our Toshiba DVD player manual. We press setup then arrow down to General setting-then Video-then TV aspect- then select 16:9 wide. When finished press setup to exit.
I have the same problem. I got this for a alturnitive montiore for my computer and it has been nothing but problems. And I have the same video card as you. I guess Im out 700 bucks. makes a nice paper weight.
Are the lights on the remote control or on the face of the TV itself? I would suspect the remote control first. Bring the remote with you to WalMart or where ever you purchased the TV and try it on another ILO brand. If noe results then you know the remote is bad.
I have a 32" Initial which is an ILO with a name change. All I can do is turn it on and off. The volume and menu settings will not work. I have had it for about two months and now I am going to take it back to WalMart. The picture quality is great but it sucks that I can't change the volume or settings. I guess Sony will get my business now.
