Canon mx310 feeds paper w/out printing

Hello! Just bought a Canon PIXMA MX310. I can copy, so I know the ink is fine. When I try to print, it just feeds paper through without printing anything.

-Mac OS X 10.4.11
-Cables are connected correctly.
-MX310 and MX310 FAX show up in the printer window. I have selected both and neither seem to work.
-What is the proper 'print using'? I selected canon and a huge list of options comes up...i selected the first one "Canon BJC-1000 - Gimp v5.0.0-beta2" because there isn't an option for just MX310.
-Downloaded drivers from Canon already with no luck.

Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Have you tried running the clean heads and prime functions. If the printer has set for a while, things may have dried out. Or, perhaps the cartridges are out of ink?

The amount of INK in the COLOUR cartridge is not KNOWN.

Replace the COLOUR ink-cartridge.

My Canon MX310 printer is not printing. The paper feeder is not feeding the paper into the printer. It is feeding only on one side. We are unable to print or get faxes. Can you help me out?
It seems like there are some problem with roller inside..

If you have an air gun, try to get ride of dust as much as u can.

Or if you do not have one, ple use vaccuum cleaner...(at min. power) to **** out dust.

And then try for it.

When I try to print it starts a sheet of paper then lets go of it before it prints then says paper jammed when it has failed to load a piece. I have a pixma mx310
Clean the pick-up mechanism and feed wheels with isopropil alcohol and a Q tip. These items are probably slick and not gripping the paper.

Canon mx310 how to print color document in black
When you go to save it or just before that you select file then go to print properties under that there should be a selection to print it in black and white.

Let us know ether way but its done under printer properties.

Go to Cannon My Printer file, Click Printer Settings, Click Maintenance Tab, Click Ink Cartridge Settings, Select the ink cartridge for printing, Hit ok.

Canon MX310 keeps not printing and message comes up paper jam sometimes nothing happens sometimes startes to take paper then stops sometimes just feeds through without printing , there seems to be no real...
Have you ever tried printing sticky labels in the thing? You have to be careful with those because sometimes a piece will come off and stick in the corner of your printer. If you don't have long surgical tweezers to pull it out, you could be looking at an expensive repair. Also check your manual. There are two places the paper can jam in. You might have checked only one. I have a different Canon model but on mine I also have to make sure the correct light is on. Is the light for feeding from the back on, or the light from feeding on the front? If you have the same light, press it again to change the place where it will feed from.

Make sure your paper isn't curled or that you're using paper that's too thick also.

Can't answer more because I don't know what program you are using to try to print.

Reset Ink levels for canon mx310

How to reset Canon MX310 printer low ink signal

1. Power off the printer.

2. Holding the stop/reset button, press and hold power button also. Hold both buttons together for 5 secs.

3. Still holding the power button, release the stop/reset buton, then press the stop/reset button twice.

4. Release power button (the screen should now say 'Service Mode').

5. Wait until the power button lights steady green, then press the stop/reset button three times with a 3 sec space between each press. On the 3rd press the indicator should turn steady orange.

6. Press the power button once, (the orange light should go off).

7. Open the printer and remove both cartridges. Wait for 10 seconds. Replace the cartridges and close printer. Wait for 30 seconds.

8. Press the power button, and wait until printer has shut down.

9. Press power button to power up. The printer will feed one piece of paper, then ask you to set the language.

10. The page counter is now reset! Enjoy.
