I found ours to work after we went through the set steps and then immediately the scale display shows 0.00. The user that was just set up needs to get on there BEFORE the auto off kicks in. If you do it then, it will go ahead and do the body weight composition and then save that person. The key is to step on the scale immediately after you set.

Have u got a reset button on the back of it maybe a little tiny button try pressing this it may need to calibrate itself

P zero to P 9 is just a user number to set it up... Instructions for set up are:

• Turn it on.
• Select user number using up and down buttons (P0 is fine).
• Hit the Set button.
• Choose gender using up and down buttons.
• Hit the Set button.
• Enter your age using up and down buttons.
• Hit the Set button.
• Enter your height (goes in 1/2 inch increments) using up and down buttons.
• Hit the Set button. (Info is now saved.)
• When scale changes to 0.0, you can step on, and get your weight.
• It will blink and change weight possibly for a second or two. When it stops, it shows your weight.
• Stay standing still on the scale after your weight, and it will gon to show your bodyfat percentage, then your body water percentage.
• When finished, you can step off, and it will turn off.

Basically, the frisbee comment is on the mark. I called Taylor. a nice person walked me through a calibration exercise: take batteries out; stand on scale for 7 sec.; get off; put batteries back in (assuming they are still good); step on scale and if it reads ---- step off again, then back on to weigh yourself. My scale's display was blank, not -----, so they said calibration was unsuccessful & so I mailed it back to the NM address on the bottom. It just fits w/ padding diagonally in a USPS flat rate box. Waiting to see if they replace it (lifetime warranty).
