I have a computer.well a couple weeks ago the screen stop working.?
a before it stop working the screen used to scribbble and black out.now it wont turn on and the hard drives make running noise. when i tried to turn the screen it siad no vga or vca whatever it called input so i brought another cord but that did not work.
and then the staples tech told me that it might my video card so i brought a new one but, when i opened up my computer there wasn't a vidoe card in it and plus it still does not work can someone please help me with a for sure answer
Most likely your onboard video isn't working. Onboard means it's built into the motherboard. Install the video card you bought at Staples in the correct slot (the box will most likely give you a diagram of the slot configuration) and power it back up. Because you have power but no screen display, it's almost "for sure" the new video card will be the solution. Be sure to plug your cable into the new video card and not the previous display port. Have your installation CD handy to install everything that will give you the most out of your new card. Let me know if you have any further concerns. If that solves it, please rate the answer.
Start tapping F8 as the system boots. On the Boot-menu, select Enable VGA Mode.
