Most likely your onboard video isn't working. Onboard means it's built into the motherboard. Install the video card you bought at Staples in the correct slot (the box will most likely give you a diagram of the slot configuration) and power it back up. Because you have power but no screen display, it's almost "for sure" the new video card will be the solution. Be sure to plug your cable into the new video card and not the previous display port. Have your installation CD handy to install everything that will give you the most out of your new card. Let me know if you have any further concerns. If that solves it, please rate the answer.

Respected Sir, I installed an nvidia 8400gs graphic card a year ago..........it works fine ....then two weeks ago i dusted up my cpu...........i inserted the graphic card then the computer...

it is because your nvidia card was broken, it makes the windows won't boot up, try to clean up your nvdia card (yellow circuit which will connect to the pci of the mother board) using a pencil eraser

i suggest you to change your nvdia card with a new one

Samsung 40" flat screen looses sound

this problem started on my LN-S4051D a couple of years ago. eventually the sound stopped working altogether. I then started using my surround sound speakers for the TV via optical out but soon that stopped working as well. I recently took the TV to a repair shop who said that the main board is bad and needs to be replaced. Labor plus parts was going to cost me $400. I said no thanks and paid for the estimate. Good luck.

My E-Machines desktop just stopped working. A few weeks ago, my user was corrupted so I had to do a system restore to get to my data on hard drive. Did that and backed up to external drive and it worked...

that beep means POST.. your computer hardware is fine .. please just re install the operating systemm... before that you might want to back up the hard drive data using bartpe or some tools similar to that.. if you dont have that expertise. just re install the operating system .. you should get back to work...

remember beep meaning POST meaning your hardware is fine.. the operating system is just corrupted / broekn
